Its kind of strange..

We see these videos all the time, and the presumption in "well Apple is bad", or "Samsung is bad"

Unless you use a fine microscope, and do the work yourself, no company will blurt out "oh ya, sure.. we just use Samsung parts" ...

But Apple does use Samsung pats, they just don't wanna tell us, or choose not to make it public themselves.

Its like saying it DVD Region-Free players legal.... you get a mouth wash from retailers who have no idea, manufactures who try to throw u a curve ball. so unless you read the law, your basically run into a brick wall.

This material is hilarious!

Best technology ads since the hipsters-waiting-in-line masterpieces.

i really don't understand the emotion behind this. this ad wasn't attacking the customers like the Samsung iPhone 5 parody of standing outside. you have no reason to be upset. i am not just speaking for myself, i'm not the only one in here telling people they are overreacting and actually feeding Samsung to make another one. i own apple products and i own stock - not once have i ever been offended by any of Samsung's ads. they never mentioned my name, why would i be offended. why are you so offended?

as far as your criticism of Samsung not making petty attack ads. i guess you forget the ads that Apple took out against IBM in the early days? or what about the "I'm a Mac" ..."and I'm a PC" ads (refer to the pic above in a previous post)

I am a PC... I was comparing computers not nit picking a conference or trashing MSFT users for liking their product enough to use it or wait in line for a new release.

I feel sorry for ppl who get offended by these.

Apple made fool of itself with the stream fiasco. So these ads ARE funny!

And it's true that bigger screen is not a feature in 2014. All other brands have had 5.5" screens already in 2013.

It's funny cos' it's true :D

Interesting. While I've heard Samsung has a decent camera I've always thought it was the iPhone and Nokia that battled it out for best camera.
No battle there. Nokia cameras are on it's own league. It's Samsung vs. Apple where the battle is.

I take photos mostly with 5S and the quality is very far from nokia or point and shoots, but it's in my pocket. That's THE feature of iPhone cameras.

Nokia Cameras are overhyped, the only Camera in newer time was PureView 808...

Today is Samsung, Sony and Apple battling for top spots...

Also, I don't think what they've done is "exactly" what the rest of the industry has done. I don't know the specifics of the others, but it seems that what has been done is include NFC as payment option in the phone, and leave the rest to the merchants to sort out. Kind of a "build it and they will follow" but they been reluctant to follow.

Apple is bringing in merchants (other than mcDonalds, CVS and 7-11), banks, bringing education and awareness, and more importantly, they are working deals with credit card companies. If they can strike deals with say Chase and Amex, being exclusive on Apple devices, those companies can then add incentives to retailers to upgrade their terminals. Drop a 1/2% in fee for any "Chase NFC" transaction. A company like Apple could pull this off.

Yes, it is clear that you don't know what others have done

Then enlighten me...

BTW, it's pretty clear I stated I didn't know what the others were doing. "I don't know the specifics of the others, but it seems...". no need for the sarcastic shot.

And what Samsung parts are they using? RAM? Big deal. They also use Elpida (now Micron), and possibly other mfg as second source suppliers. The processor? It's an Apple designed processor that Samsung mfg for them, but it's not a Samsung designed processor. According to Wiki, TSMC is listed as making the A8, so I don't know who's really making them, maybe both of them. The screen? I think this one is an Apple designed screen just like previous generations have been. Apple tends to use at least 2 or more companies, so who knows who they are really using. NAND? Same thing, I'm sure Apple uses any number of suppliers for this fairly generic part. What else does Samsung make? Apple designs a lot of their own components and anything they buy off the shelf from Samsung is more of a commodity product, Samsung just happens to be a big supplier. And who was partly responsible for getting Samsung as big as they are? Apple? They've been a long term parts supplier for years. They were supposed to be a partner and these ads are not very partner like. It's actually getting immature since Samsung wouldn't even have their phones out without having someone to copy in the first place.

And where does it state that the Samsung 5S can do 1080p at 60fps or slow mo at 240fps? And Samsung actually has 64 Bit processors?

My brother has the Galaxy Note, but he has never once used that pen.

I am not surprised, between testing both Samsung and Microsoft's offerings I found the Surface 3 pen to be far nicer to hold and use. The accuracy is a little off as I will mention in the review going up later today but the weight is really nice.

the Galaxy Note pen in contrast feels very small and cheap. Not giving the same level of confidence when using.

If Apple does go the stylus route with the rumoured iPad pro then I hope they look to Microsoft and not Samsung.

I wonder where are the Samsung fan droids now, knowing that iPHone 6 have outsold Samsung crap in just 10 minutes... ;)
Btw; I guess latest "Samsung adds" did more damage than good...
I'm sure we will hear from the usual, Paid Samsung trolls on these forums soon... ;)

LOL. I think Samsung will release an ad about how there are tons of people at the apple store wanting to buy an iPhone 6. Then they will show a really empty Samsung store and how one person walks in and checks out in 10 mins. Not sure what message that would send, but knowing Samsung, pretty sure that would be it.

They'll spin it and say you don't have to wait two weeks to get your Note 4! Of course they'll leave out the fact that that's because no one wants the note 4 :D

Before the Samsung fans start going bezerk, I'm kidding.

While I'm a HUGE Apple fan I have to at least smile at this. I bought a new Apple TV just to watch this thing (I'd also been thinking about it for awhile, and the free $25 iTunes card didn't hurt) but the stream was so bad I gave up and rewatched WWDC. I've since seen it now that it's archived but Apple needs to get it together next time. **** the rest of those commercials though. Samsung wins this battle but the rest of that **** is just haterish.

The iPhone 6 and 6+ will be huge.

Literally! I like these sizes and by the look of the numbers of opening day for pre-orders it seems MANY (record breaking) people like the 5.5. Now that Apple has joined the large screened community the trolls come out and say the 4.7" isn't big enough or "that was so 2012" and the 5.5" even though it is 1080p doesn't have enough pixels. Wow, wow. I'm not sure where Android or Tizen is headed, but it looks like television sized mobile phones in their future. For something as small as a smartphone screen, 4K is overkill. It's great you can get 500+ pixels packed into a small area, but if it's not going to make a difference to the human eye then why bother? Retina made a difference especially when reading text, but now with manufacturers trying to out pixel the competition it's just bragging rights on the numbers.

If you can't answer the question - then just say so.

Um, I was quoting Steve Jobs about the stylus thing. I don't think you got that original reference. Let's get real. Apple has sold 170 million iPads and over 500 million iPhones. None came with a stylus. There are some people selling these sticks, but I disagree with your assertion that they are a "big selling point." I have never seen anybody using a stylus with their iPhone. Maybe 0.1% of people do so? Maybe less? Not exactly a booming business.

If the stylus is so awesome, then how come we're not all using palm pilots and windows xp for tablets? So, you might love the stylus, but Apple doesn't - and it's selling hundreds of millions of devices - I think they have the right idea.

I got the reference. Sadly you missed the entire point of my comment but rather went off on some tirade. Have a great weekend
