I got a new screen on my M1 MacBook Pro 14". Are there any checks/calibrations I should/can run to check it's working as it should. The old one had a dead pixel.

I think it's fair to say that it was calibrated at the install. I have had a screen replace before and just used it as normal. The average customer wouldn't need to do any kind of checks or calibrations themselves. Just keep an eye on it and you're good to go 🙂

There is no need to check anything. If you don't see an obvious problem, don't go looking for one.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Audit13 it was replaced by an Apple authorised dealer. Here in the uk. I was pretty happy to get the repair done out of warranty. I raised a consumer rights complaint and they fixed it for free.

Congrats! I'm in Canada and consumer rights are very limited for Canadians.

I phoned the company (from where I bought it) help line. Chatted a lot to a tech advisor and they asked if I wanted to raise a consumer rights issue.
