For what it's worth

This was done last night and the shipping dates are after the Call and delivery is for end of month...

Like I said, for what it's worth...

Why would they advertise shipping a 2011 imac for after the release date of 2012 imac? Makes no sense. If they are releasing 2012 imac, then they will hurry and ship the ordered 2011 imac.

it is illegal to ship someone a 2012 imac if they ordered a 2011 model!

If you customize an Imac, it says shipping date is 1-3 days. But it's always been like that here. Not sure though if you order a standard Imac if it ships the other day.

The iMac was a BTO in the screen shot so that might be the reason. However this close to the 24th, it is completely reasonable to expect a shipping date on or after the 24th... It is the weekend and the 24th is Tuesday... This close to the 24th, the shipping dates are meaningless to use to determine a release date.

But, like I said, For what it's worth we have a delivery date of end of the month... I guess I am just biting my nails like everyone else here hoping my 2006 iMac video holds up till the release, whenever that may be. :D

John Lewis is out of stock for higher spec Imac 27 for past 5 days. I emailed customer services about when it's returing in stock and they couldn't tell me. Usually they are pretty good with that kind of information. Low end 27 is still in stock, though. It might mean something or it's just my wishful thinking.

We didn't have inventory #'s for the 2011, 2010, or late 2009 iMacs. (That's as far back as I looked.)

FWIW I called the local Apple Premium Reseller (the closest Apple Store is 200 km away form where I live) and specifically asked about any new SKUs. The guy said that they have no trace of those and there's nothing weird or unusual going on with the stock. Granted, it's a small-ish store so it may not be reliable, but I think I'm slated for big disappointed tomorrow or the next day. There's still a glimpse of wishful thinking, though.
I just hope that this late 2006 iMac I'm using lasts until whenever the new ones are released… :(

Hmmm, not looking good is it? Oh well, it ain't over 'til it's over. Is it too late to change our vote? :D

trouble is, tried to be too clever by half and sold my 2011 mac mini server in late April in preparation for the new iMac. Primarily for SSD, USB3 and dedicated GPU. Other than USB3 (which in reality I dont really intend to use too much other than secondary back ups - primary back ups on a time capsule over wifi) I could get the other two bits of my wish list with the 2011 iMac so kicking myself for not buying

Maybe not good for next week.

But we're we not originally thinking Sept or October?

Once again, no, we weren't. The only place that timeframe has been reported has been DigiTimes, which is not a reliable source. Other media outlets quoting that timeframe have been sourcing it from DigiTimes' article.

Apple will not release a new Mac product during the iPhone's spotlight timeframe. However, there MIGHT not be an iMac until 2013, or the line might be EOLed. There is also an outside chance we'd see something in Nov/Dec but it would be very unlike Apple to push new hardware into the holiday shopping season mid-stream. August or early September is technically possible as well, but nothing about those release weeks provides any advantage to Apple over doing it this week.

So now Appleinsider has picked up an analyst report that primarily focuses on the 13" rMBP, to say the following on iMac refresh. "...iMac refreshed model could debut close to the end of September but qualifies the statement by saying indicators from the supply chain point to a later release"

At this point I'm in denial, to say that I'm bummed would be a severe understatement. I just hope that my 2006 iMac lasts that long, because I refuse to buy a 2011 iMac. I may go refurb for €979 vs. €1158 for the base model, but it still lacks USB 3 and the like.

No.All Rumors points to next Fall.I'm disappointed, last rumors say that they have some manufactoring problems with their displays.
But..Mac mini?Which problems have to delay them too?.
I don't buy it.
They simply choose to make us wait, because a lot doesn't know which machine are buying except is from Apple and because a lot of us want Imacs so badly to wait and wait and wait.
Thats not fair but this is Apple today and they are not wronging in the short term doing it..and the irony is that to have back the Apple we love we must have back the Old Microsoft we hate(d),maybe with Windows8 ..maybe.

Given Mini's target audience, skipping a generation isn't surprising. Or unprecedented.

Yeah they could do that, they did it in 2008 with Mini's. I'm the target audience and I'm just waiting for new Mac Mini Server, even small spec bump would be nice (and USB3).

I don't see any hardware coming out with ML launch, there's usually inventory movement and rumors ramp up one week before that. It's always like that and there's nothing going on now.

Or correct me if I'm wrong, was there ever a time when Apple would refreshed their hardware without rumors leaking out?

Yes its not,i remember when rumors said it was ended, but as we know it wasn't,
i hope to see at least this one out this July, but i fear it won't be available without a Retina display to be built within maybe with a 680m Sli thunderbolt external case for.

Why does it take 10 days for the iMac to be available for pick-up in store? See screenshot below. Are you thinking what I'm thinking?

Sorry mate. That's just wishful thinking. There is zero chance of a refreshed iMac tomorrow. Zero. I wish I was wrong, but I don't think I am.
