It won’t run on an iPhone 15, I don’t know why anyone would expect it to run on watches or HomePods even. Gonna be years probablypity this cannot run on the watch - will probably have to wait another iteration for this to happen

I think they might have overcooked this one (pun intended).
AI is dying rapidly. Investors are pulling out because the promised gains aren’t materialising and the costs are not something we can engineer our way out of trivially as the promoters promised.
It’s another blockchain.
Market collapse by EOY is my bet. Then they will scale this down to improved Siri and some text review stuff and that’s it.
None of us currently alive will get the first and third, and we'll only get the second if we vote for politicians who actually care about investing in infrastructure.I turned 60 this year and realized that I’m not going to be living in the future. I doubt I ever get a personal robot, high speed rail, and a 120 year lifespan.
You are clearly looking at a very different market than i am. It is still growing.
It will be interesting how they release the new AI Siri on products with new processors while still supporting Classic Siri on Watches and HomePod.
It was rolled out well before it was ready and had tons of bugs and server issues. They had a hard time fixing it so they started over.I know about Maps from iOS 6 but can you tell me about the predecessor of iCloud?
Least I still get to enjoy the @me.com email 😁It was rolled out well before it was ready and had tons of bugs and server issues. They had a hard time fixing it so they started over.

Then we’re stuck with the same old 🫣Just one problem. The board and shareholders won’t sacrifice the profits - they’ll can anyone who tries to do so.

high speed rail
It was obvious Apple was really caught of guard here. They had to announce something, it was very obvious when they said how only the latest iPhone would be able to run this making obsolete all previous iterationsWell, I'm glad all the cool Siri features announced at WWDC 2024 will finally be implemented before WWDC 2025.
Like... maybe a month or two before WWDC 2025. 🤪
If AI is even half of what they say it'll be, it'll figure out cures for all diseases and be able to increase our lifespans by at least fifty years, if not longer. So don't loose hope!I turned 60 this year and realized that I’m not going to be living in the future. I doubt I ever get a personal robot, high speed rail, and a 120 year lifespan.
SEC should initiate an investigation and ask Craig and Tim to answer why they announce something and mislead the public about when it will be available. The only reason this bothers me is the obvious market gamesmanship it implies - like so many other announcements from Apple and fellow "Big Tech" companies.
“AI is dying rapidly.”
Any proof for this claim?
Much of the processing will be done on the device itself. What part of that is unsustainable and needs to be scaled back?
This ^^^
Everyone talking about it “being the future” is just buying the VC hype garbage — hook, line and sinker
