You might be right - I just added my iPhone after adding my iPad 5 days ago and on the phone it already says Joined waiting list
Yeah my 16 Pro still indexing, and still on Siri Waitlist tho it was prob Weds when I hopped on that.
Guessing the "excluded premium" model phones do all the indexing online which is backed up. This does not bode well for the September release!
Well, as I seem to be cursed too (I've installed the beta and entered the waitlist 24 hours after the WWDC) I decided to post here. Maybe posting will make the Siri gods see me and let me in 😄

When you get in, post your location when you joined the waitlist and when you officially gained access. This way we can see if they are doing this by region or just in batches by when you dove in. I am in Florida and jumped on the waitlist Wednesday the 10th at 3pmEST. I am still waiting to get accepted. Lets see if I go the full 7 days before getting in!!
If it's not region based, maybe we can get a general timeline of how long its taking for people to be accepted. Give us waiting a little bit of hope. haha.

Go 'Stros. That's the logo I grew up with. To answer your question, yes the standalone app does come with the new Siri only. Settings, siri should show a new siri section to join a list.

I thought so, too. But there were earlier posts in this thread from people who had access to the new Siri on one device but not others. Perhaps, one needs to have completed indexing a certain percentage of a device before Siri can work on a given device even if it is already available and active on other devices on the same Apple account. I simply do not know and have zero personal experience at this point.

Just got access to the new Siri. I live in Southport UK. I downloaded the 27 beta last Tuesday. iPhone 17 pro max is still indexing.
Great. I'm in the UK also. Started on the waitlist about 4 o'clock last Tuesday with 1.1 TB of storage on iCloud. Similar to you?
I started on the wait list last Tuesday morning 512GB (168 GB used)
