If you have a Mac, there is a way to check indexing progress mentioned on 9to5Mac. The article is a bit clickbaity, but there is a method for if you have a Mac and a USB-C cable: Still seeing ‘Indexing in Progress’ on iOS 27? Here’s how to check the actual status

I'm at 95% right now

Thanks. It should be noted to do that you should have Xcode installed. (The non-beta, current one works). Alas after 7 days I am at 50% on the iPhone 17 PM. It is a 2TB model with most of the space used.

My 17P has been stuck at 94% for at least 17 hours now.

EDIT: Closing in on 24 hours now and still stuck at 94% while plugged in 95% of that time. Getting the feeling it's not moving further till I'm close to being off the waitlist.

Used this to enable on my Mac.....few hours later was enabled on my iP17. Never received the notification that it was enabled on the iPhone. Guessing using terminal commands to enable on the Mac helped enable it on the iPhone since it was on the same account. Still indexing.....
I wish this were the case for me

I did this same trick on my M2 MacBook Air to skip the waitlist on it but I'm still on it on my iPhone 16 🙁

Joined the waitlist on my iPhone 16 Tuesday evening last week and I'm still on it

I've been seeing more saying earlier today that they just finally got off it, so they must be going hog wild with approvals

So perhaps there is hope for me yet

Did they just stop letting people in. I was busy monday so i installed tuesday and still on queue.
From what I've observed, it seems like it comes and goes in waves

I saw comments from hours ago from a bunch saying that they finally made it off the waitlist, but it seems like we may be in a lull for now

I'll be coming up on a week exactly from when I joined the waitlist last week, as I joined it last Tuesday sometime after 6PM after getting a new iPhone 16

Maybe just a certain amount of invites per beta release? Does not seem tied to indexing or a certain % completed based on people's comments in this thread.

It could also be tied to the amount of physical infrastructure that needs to be spun up in order to get this all out the door. There is a significant server component to all of this that they might be ramping up gradually.

And after a week of waiting, I FINALLY GOT IN THE SIRI BETA!!!!!

I am on an iPhone 16 on a 200 GB iCloud family plan based in Norway, and indexing is at around 95%.

yes agree. Makes me wonder about whether they could roll this out in the fall to millions of devices simultaneously, with an indexing process that could take weeks......

I heard on a podcast (not sure how true this is) that they will begin the indexing process with the next IOS 26 minor update to give it enough time to be done prior to the GM of IOS 27.

Still waiting here as well since 3pm EST yesterday. Also my phone is still indexing, perhaps it’s tied to that? Are the folks who are still waitlisted still indexing?
Yup, still indexing, but from this perhaps this means others like me who have practically been waiting that long will be rewarded with this soon!

Here's to hoping, and I'll be back to report once I finally get it!

Just got it a minute ago. Installed the beta last Tuesday.
Sweet, so looks lke they're starting to admit more in now!

I too installed the beta last Tuesday when I got a brand new iPhone 16, and joined the Siri AI waitlist not too long after that

I'm to the week mark too now pretty much, so it looks like those of us who have waited a painfully long week are finally starting to be rewarded now

The one thing new Siri doesn’t do is remove the “set up talk to Siri” notification badge that I’ve had to stare at since installing the beta 😭
