I don't think the "indexing" part is related to Siri waiting list being over, I see many users who got the new Siri, but the phone is still Indexing.

I doubt it's an issue. Previously Indexing happened in the background, now they're just showing a message.

Yeah same. But was around 8:30pm still on waitlist and still indexing. Frustrating 😂

The Indexing is supposed to continue in the background for many days. It has nothing to do with getting the new Siri.

Yes the free dev account lets you get the developer betas
But the paid developer accounts are the ones that let you put apps on the app store

For the dev betas, yes
But from what I understand, a paid dev account is needed for the new Siri features for now.

Are you sure about that? If that were true it would mean that people that never plug their devices never sync or index.

Not true. I haven't plugged in my last 2 phones over 3 years and they always indexed fine.

Any evidence of that? I would consider paying the one time $99 to get Siri early, considering I am paying $20 for Gemini every month. Would recoup my costs by the time the RC comes out.

I installed 8:30pm on Monday in UK, still on waitlist and still indexing.
Its not required to have a paid dev account. the public beta in July will also be with SiriAI and nobody is paying anything. So its just the same random procedure as the last time with Apple Intelligence.
I am also still waiting on macOS, am on the waiting list since about two hours after the event but macOS only cuz I am in Germany ;-/ I hate the EU Commission for that, also understand the security point of view, which is...you know... actually a good thing. And my phone is also still indexing, which also...is completely normal. After getting a phone and setting things up...its pretty much the same and the battery says it could come to battery drainage cuz of that. not its just officially called indexing.
