Ok, I see it now. However, two issues:

1) All the notifications I’ve clicked to read the post where I’m mentioned/quoted/replied, later, they remain on, the blue spot is bright, all the notifications have this look, thus, all the notification remain as unread...

2) When I press “mark read” down in the bottom of the notification list, it makes all the notification to have the blue dot bright as well. This means it marks all the notifications as unread.

Hope to explain myself properly

This is how it works for me:

I feel like the interface just needs to be more clear regarding which notifications are read and which are unread. When I first saw the new interface on my iPhone, I thought that the mark as read/unread button was the “unread” indicator.

This is how it works for me:

I’m on iPadOS. And I don’t use a mouse. Maybe that’s why I see all the read notifications with the dot... And the not read. At this point I no longer know if the notifications with the faded blue dot are the read or unread, and the ones with the bright point are the unread or read...

Probably that’s whats happening to me as well, Mr. Awesome.

It should be saved as a cookie. Is it not saving for you?
Yep it saves on a sessional basis, but after shutting down my browser, which clears cookies etc, it needs to be reapplied on the next visit. Be cool if it was enabled as a preference, similar to how font size/amount of posts viewed is saved.

Scroll to the bottom of the page. It's a higher resolution of the site.
Wow... all these years of using Macrumors in a tiny browser window on a 32' 4k monitor.... Wow. What a difference this makes!

Thank you.

Holy crap! Same here. How did I not know about this? It's so much nicer!

I‘m glad my issue has an upside for others. Makes a huge difference as you’ve found when using a big screen monitor.

Hey, @arn I have a suggestion for the Forum, and the site overall. Can I post this suggestion here?

Well, I've been thinking about a "fav" button (Twitter style, but using the old star, not the current heart), just to save the info we might need in the future, or pictures/comments we really liked. For instance, that movie suggestion that got lost in the Community subforum, or that picture of a dog posted on a very active thread that you really liked, and want to show to your friend on the weekend.

This would be a separate button from the reaction button, because it's purpose is different. The purpose of this button is not to show others your reaction, but to just save (or "fav") what you really liked to keep it in your profile. Thus, this wouldn't be a public feature, it would be visible for you and the person who wrote that message, who could receive a notification in the form of a yellow star. Or not.

The button could be an empty star which, when pushed (when activated) makes a yellow star. Just like Twitter old fav button, or Discord fav button for gifs.

This is just merely a suggestion. The star shaped button could be located at the left side of the Like button, with no text to make it smaller, and it could be visible only when we move the cursor over it.

Favorited, or faved messages, would be saved in a menu on our personal profile page, along with the date and the subforum/thread where it is. And obviously, clicking there would bring us to that message on the forum.

Maybe the Like button already works for this, if there is a "liked posts" menu on our profile, BUT this would be much more straightforward, discreet, and just saving the really important messages (because we may have hundreds if not thousands of liked posts).

Looks like we can already bookmark posts…

…and view bookmarks in the other tab that appears when clicking the username in the top right.

In lieu of albums, you can add labels, have multiple labels per bookmark, and search all of your bookmarks based on labels. Pretty neat.

Oh, you're absolutely right.

Actually I was writing that huge post and thinking "you'll see, there will be a feature like that and I didn't pay attention".

Thanks, I think I'll use that instead.

Yep. The bookmark is overlooked. Maybe making it a star or something else would help?

Well, as I said, I'd put it at the left side of the Like button, like a hollow star / yellow star when pressed. Or make it appear just when you pass your cursor over the post, that would make it more apparent. I honestly think the issue with the bookmark is the position.

But, yeah, you can try putting the star in the same place as the current bookmark icon and see if it works better. Just make it change color when you pass your cursor over the post, to catch more attention. Just like in the examples I posted above.

Didn't notice the bookmark icon until now. Nice feature, I've always been curious about something like this and it was there the whole time... The current icon is "insignificant" on a large screen and so I always glossed over it. A star may certainly be a better alternative.
