After a few weeks of usage, I've noticed that the back easily picks up scratches that you can't rub until they go away. The oils from your hand also stick to the back and eventually build up. Those can be wiped off though. The TPU on this case isn't anywhere NEAR as durable as the TPU on the Belkin Grip Candy Sheer. The Belkin didn't show any nicks or fingerprints.

The rest of the case has held up pretty well. Some nicks here and there on the plastic bumper part, but that is to be expected if the phone is being dropped.

Scratches are not too surprising- Spigen trademark on the Slim Armor as well. Just been waiting for this problem to show up. $30 for a case that scratches with no effort whatsoever!!! A problem not seen on the Tones case at all- even no fingerprints.

I actually got a few nicks on my metal slate band and returned it for the satin silver color. The satin silver holds up extremely well, and I imagine any other light colors would as well. Even though some nicks might show up on the metal slate, I still prefer it a million times over the switcheasy tones. The neo hybrid feels like a high quality case. The tones feels like a cheap plasticky kiosk case.

By nicks on the plastic band, I meant more like dents caused by impact with a hard object. I don't have any scratches on the band, actually.

Not meant to be a spitting contest. Just saying a fact that if the 'plasticky, cheap kiosk' Tones is holding up better after 6 months than a day with a SA or Neo scratched back...something is amiss.

Actually the SA is polycarbonate and the NEO silicone. If the Neo back is scratching, that's bad.

I'm using the bumper Neo Hybrid EX Slim, and the poly bands are fine. Love that the back is visible.

The Neo Hybrid is TPU. But yeah, scratching on the TPU back is really bad considering the material it's made out of.

What really made me notice the rubbing on the TPU was, on the first day I had the case, I dropped my phone, and the edge of the TPU back hit smooth plastic (a clothes basket), and there were rub marks on the edge that couldn't be rubbed off.

Anyone getting scuff marks in the back TPU ? If so how ru cleaning it because I have one in mine and I can't get it off

Yep, after 2 weeks mine is all scratched. Honestly I am a bit disappointed. I have tried a few things to try to help with removing the marks including using a Magic Eraser. It did not make it worse but did not help.

The satin silver is gonna look good on my black iPhone! Just need to see a really good review before I jump the gun!

Did you ever get the satin silver? Ordered on last night for my black 5. Wondering how you like it and how's holding up. Any pics?

Ended up getting metal slate because it was cheaper at the time. You should definitely get satin silver. It would look awesome!

Don't think I've seen the answer in this thread, but will 3rd party cables such as Amazon Basics fit with this case on?

I can now answer my own question as I received my Amazon Basics Lightning cable and the Neo Hybrid case - it will fit perfectly without any mods.

Super happy with the case, too, the fit and finish is even better than I thought. Got the silver framed version which is supposed to hold up better than the slate, makes the phone look very similar to a naked black iPhone 4(S) with the aluminum trim around it, about the same thickness, too.

I've been trying to make fingerprints show up on the matte black finish on the back, doesn't seem to be an issue so far.

Any pics?

How's everyones back piece holding up? I'm debating on the slim armor S or this case. I have the slim armor and it's held up fine but it's a little too thick for me.

No pics, sorry. Actually returning it for the slate. Silver just stands out too much. Wish they made a black bumper portion for it. The slate will work I guess. Will swap between that and my Black Magpul.

Does anyone have this case with either the Gunmetal or Satin Silver frame, especially with a Space Gray 5s? I'm looking for a case for my Space Gray 5s and they only sell the Gunmetal frame separate from the TPU cover for some reason. There are 7 color options for purchasing the frame by itself, including Gunmetal. But there are only 6 color options for purchasing the entire case and Gunmetal is left out. Gunmetal looks like it is the color intended to match the Space Gray phone but I think that the Satin Silver frame might also look good. I'm wondering if it's worth the extra $11 to also purchase the Gunmetal Frame separately along with the case in Satin Silver.

From this thread https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1682754/, it looks and sounds like the Gunmetal might not actually even match the Space Gray particularly well and is more of a bronze color. It's hard to know without seeing it in person though which is why I'm asking for opinions from someone that actually has it. Any input would be be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have the gunmetal. It is not the same color as the space grey. Still looks alright but I prefer the slate band. I also have the silver. Slate is my preferred one though.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm actually leaning toward the Slim Armor S over the Neo Hybrid but haven't decided for sure yet. They're both pretty good looking cases.
