Apple has hit a home run with this "Switch" campaign. I like how they can get their point across without ever showing any technology. It gets the average person (consumer) to think, "Yeah, I know what that guy is talking about." Even it Apple doesn't end up being the solution to their problem, the person will start to think that there must be something better than what they are currently using today. I've seen people walk up to old iMacs and the look on their faces says it all, "This is unlike my normal computer experience." And that's what Apple is after.

good point. i like the switch ad where the woman says whenever her pc would have problems she always thought it was because she didnt know how to use computers. i think thats most peoples problem they assume they are at fault and dont realize its windows. just getting people to realize that microsoft doesnt ahve all the answers and that there might be a better way is good.

You're a typical Mac owner jumping to conclusions. I actually would like to own a Mac. Great OS. Fairly good quality control. Problem is, there is nothing currently in the Mac line up that is a fit for me. If the Power Macs didn't sound like blast furnaces, then I'd be interested. I do expect that Apple will get it together and quiet these things down.
I dont know about you but i own a ddr powermac and a pc i built myself. my pc is so much louder than my powermac, and my powermac has tons of fans in it and my pc has only two. but i bet you can ask anyone on this server and they will probably agree with me that they didnt buy a computer judged on the loudness. plus i bet majority of the people(including me) listen to music or something when they are on their computer so they dont even hear anything. but if you want a pc because mac doesnt have the software thats cool and understandable. but if you are not choosing a mac because the noise that it hardly makes than i think you have some problems in what to look for in a good computer.

my only negative opinion of the "Switch" ads are that they make Mac users sound like whining babies. i know they are supposed to be about regular people being able to take advantage of technology but c'mon. hearing some teenage brat cry about how his books are scratching his CD cases is lame. these products are cool. there must be a better way to sell them.
