I feel so comfortable having people that called the internet 'a series of tubes' meddling in the internal operation of technological based companies.
I'm 'old', and even I know that the internet is more like a series of squares! 😆 And that fiber optic cable helps the internet work more smoothly if it's taken in large enough doses! 😧
The average politician is so much more concerned with keeping their rear ends in their current cushy seat that they will let 'interest groups' write the legislation they introduce, and are also more than willing to let those groups lead them by the nose to what bills they want passed. This might get my post expunged, and me spanked, but unless WE can get money out of politics, those politicians will continue to work for their contributors, and NOT the public good.
Demanding that Apple hobble their ecosystem is counter productive, and damages Apple's brand! What incredible balls they have to dictate how Apple should run their company. It's not an antitrust issue until Apple is forced to break the trust they have said they have with us.
If this is forced through, I can see Apple taking a hit here. It's sad, but that's the way it goes I guess... Hopefully it can be stopped.
