Undeniable fact? You sure you understand what those two words mean?

jesus, some people like to be *******s for the sake of being *******s. yes undeniable. CR's testing showed the iPhone 5/5S held up until 130lbs of force, while the 6 Plus held up until 90lbs of force. The iPhone 6 Plus is 30% weaker than previous generation. That is a fact...and you cannot deny that....hence an undeniable fact

You said that it's undeniable fact that the iPhone 6 series is "weaker than MOST OTHER PHONES." You're basing that on one source that tested only a few phones.

In other words, no. Not "undeniable fact." Sorry that pointing out the truth bothers you.

I know people are ****** sick of bendgate but this video is really troubling. I had my doubts with the authenticity of Unbox Therapy's video, but this one is concerns me.

iPhone 6 Plus Bend: Total Destruction\

I understand real world use will never see something like this unless done deliberately, but honestly, I can't say Im not worried about that one instance in real life where maybe I'm crammed in car with a bunch of people...or at the gym...or have the device in a backpack while on an airplane, etc......I tried bending my iPhone 5S the exact same way and it only creaked a little bit (i took 2 pencils and applied enough force to break them then attempted to translate that same amount of force to the iPhone 5S)

lol i love how the guy says, "see i barely applied any pressure to the phone" meanwhile his thumbs were turning white in the video, also who the **** knows that these people may be heating up the phone before bending it making it alot easier to bend and also softening and weakning the glue in the device

You are missing the point completely! Where do Phones go? *in pockets*. Where do iPads go? Your answer better not be pockets haha. Normal people keep their phones in pockets therefore your argument is invalid..

I said SIT on it, not put it in the pocket.

----------

I have jeans that are not baggy that have a small pocket on the side of the leg. My 6 Plus fits there perfectly.

How is it.. living with 1 pair of jeans your whole life? :D

We also know that walking into an Apple store and taking a dump on the floor will leave an awful smell. I just hope no one starts doing this. But, if they do...they better post a video. :D

I'm more concerned that Apple will quietly reinforce the weak point on the 6 Plus and then deny warranty coverage to us early adopters in the event we see bending under normal use. Whatever, I love my 6 Plus and I'm still going to keep it... but I'm also not going to pretend like there isn't an issue here.

The report you cite says the 6 is less rigid than the Plus, so why would they reinforce the Plus? Seems like you may not be thinking this all the way through.

People only waste money if it'll help them get more money. This guy is getting money from some where to do this, so i don't know if its possible to trust him.

Perhaps he's advertising the Moto X.

Besides, never trust any one who wears sunglasses in the shade.

I'm sorry, Consumer Reports RIPPED Apple a new one for Antennagate and now you don't believe their bend test? CNN has done testing too and found it improbable you'd bend your phone in "normal" use.

If someone can produce video evidence contradicting Consumer Reports testing with an iPhone bending under "barely" any (measured) force, I'll be worried about my iPhone 6+ in my pocket. Otherwise it's all noise from people with more time and money than brains.

Totally this, until someone debunks Consumer Report I will consider all bend talk as annoying cigarette smoke.

I bet 99.99% of users will never have a problem with this. But yet these threads will keep appearing anyways. I could not be happier with my new 6. Even the battery life is a pleasant surprise over my iPhone 5.

I was mostly referring to the previous generation iPhones....I made an error by writing "most other phones".....the truth doesn't bother me, you however do

Added to which, when am I going to put that much pressure like that on my phone. A phone in my pocket with a person sitting on my leg won't place pressure like that unless I'm the terminator and one of the titanium shafts that is my leg bone is sticking out of my skin against the back the phone. Please show me a real world situation that would subject the phone to that or show me real world situations that cause it to bend.

I'm starting to wonder if there is some marketing ploy, or sabotage going on by other companies. There are way too many people breaking their $1k phones on purpose lately. No one really has that type of money, especially just to get attention on youtube.

It's starting to get silly.

Has the video been doctored?

He gets the this iPhone accessory is incompatible, when there was no accessory attached to the Phone from the beginning to the end of the video.

I think the one guy got 45 Million views, do the math on that that $750(16GB) iPhone is cheap

did i mention the 6 anywhere in that particular post? no. I assume they would reinforce both around the weak area of the volume buttons and sim tray.

What a coincidence Samsung rushed the release of the Note 4 and were the first jumping on Apple on the social media....

That guy is being sponsored by Motorola.

It's that obvious on his second video.

You said it's an "undeniable fact" that it is "weaker than most other phones".

Don't ignore the most ridiculous and hyperbolic part of your statement and pretend that no one else will notice - lol.

http://www.businessinsider.com/i-wa...o-bend-the-iphone-6-plus-pretty-easily-2014-9

That about sums it up. It bends, but it takes a decent amount of force, as the writer states "my thumb hurt after for about 20 minutes".

Screen break if you hit them hard enough with a hammer.

A phone will stop working if you dunk it in water.

I am pretty sure the iPhone will melt if you superheat it.

Get over it, its physics, move on.

The phone is designed well enough to withstand normal life. If you don't trust it, but still want the phone, get applecare. Otherwise, there are plenty of other phones out there.

OP..if its a concern and too troubling for you, just return it and your worries are done with. Otherwise, get a case, be careful handling your phone, get applecare+... And enjoy the phone.

Can someone post that image schematic comparing the CR test to the YouTube's guy's test? It has some math on it and I saw it somewhere this morning and can't find it anymore.
