The best theory about the iphone 6 + bend issue and how to fix it

Here is the best theory of why the iphone 6 + bends and how to fix it, what do you think? Sometimes a billion dollar company needs help and maybe the solution is far easier than everybody thinks.

I think the biggest error in Apple is to trust machines to test for bend issues.

Short versión: it's not bc it's thin or aluminum, it's bc behind the volume buttons there's a metal reinforcement that's not well designed. Keep reading to know the details.

Theory among theory, it really matter now does it? For those who already bought the iPhone 6 there's nothing that can be done...unless you just don't want the phone and return it 14 days. Otherwise these new bend threads need to give a rest.

The issue is with the iphone 6 +, the iphone 6 has passed the bend test

People that buy the iphone 6 + have to take more care than normal to avoid bending issues

Sorry but that's totally incorrect. I was at the Apple store on Friday. They had a 4.7" iPhone 6 on display and it was bent.

Ummmmm, no.

"The results showed that the 6 Plus was actually stronger than the iPhone 6, starting to deform at 90 pounds of force and having its screen and case separate at 110 pounds of force. The iPhone 6 started to deform at 70 pounds of force and started coming apart at 100 pounds of force."

the best way to fix it is to ignore it - the issue is overblown

It's crazy that it's actually spread though. Typically things like this are online.

I was out this morning and this old lady, I want to say late 70's definitely, maybe more came up to me. I was looking at some cases. She said "Is that the new iPhone? Is it true that it bends?"

I said no, I've had since launch, etc.. She was like ok, they must be blowing it out of proportion. I should've asked her where she heard it, but didn't.

I don't really watch TV, so I'm not sure how much it's on the news if any. She literally looked like the last person on earth that would ask that question so was just really weird.

How far apart were the blocks the phones were resting on? If the distance betweeen them was always the same, or if it differed in some random way, then that test is irrelevant.

Ok, so a test conducted by Consumer Reports is irrelevant, yet the musings and guesses of a random internet poster are spot on?

Believe whatever dude. Go buy a MotoX if that's the case. You will be a lot happier. The internet dude that was selling MotoX ads in his video says it is better, so it must be true.

Is there somewhere I can read about this bending issue? So few posts here.

The same told me one guy that I know. Everybody ask this when they view your iphone 6 or +

Because of this Apple needs to make a bad news and make it a positive news later I will post a new thread about this

*sigh* That's not a real world test. Putting focused direct force in the center of the back of the phone is not what would happen in real life. In real life, the phone is smaller so it fits in your pocket more easily and is less likely to experience the type of force that the 6 Plus would get in that same pocket. The thing is... the 6 Plus is just too large and it may stick out a little bit in your pocket, then when you sit down, your leg will bend the phone where your leg bends at your waist.

Wit the regular 6, it can slide all the way down inside your pocket and being narrower on the sides, it's less likely to try to conform to your thigh too.

The pressure required to bend it is not very large. He says "It is very easy to bend". He isn't able to bend a Samsung Note 3 with all his force.

I'm so over these stupid overblown rumors and videos of people intentionally bending phones to prove it bends if you try. I'll enjoy my 6 plus and keep using it while others who don't even have the phone keep arguing

*sigh* That's not a real world test.

I guess grabbing it by the ends and twisting it is?

Double sigh.

If it takes 90lbs of pressure to bend the phone, and you somehow manage to create 90lbs of pressure in your pants pocket, then you deserve a bent phone.

Ok and neither is taking a phone putting all the force in one point with your thumbs and bending it but everyone like you seems to have bought into it. You sign up just to say that?

This video once again proves the iPhone bends...consumer reports is bullcrap....I bet you guys are too afraid to try this on your devices cuz it's true...bends like a paperweight

What's a valid test, in your opinion?
