wonder how much this will affect apple/samsung sales?

Yeah, tough choice.
Buy Chinese where you know there are backdoors
or
Buy American where you know they are lots of known exploits.

Seems to me that security over all is the same, so you may as well save money and buy Chinese.

I think deep down inside, you know Trump is a terrible President and you legitimately won't get anything out of it. He'll help himself and his family and his rich billionaire friends and that's about it. Your only joy comes from telling yourself you won something.

Reminds me of a psychological experiment where they offered people $50k per year and all their neighbors would make $25k per year, or they could have $100k/year and all their neighbors would make $250k/ year. Most people chose $50k just so they could feel better than their neighbors, even though that meant they were getting less money themselves. Humans are weird and they do nonsensical things that hurt themselves in the end.
That's cute.

pathetic even
lol

People have got to understand the meaning of espionage. This would be targeted. Some spy for another agency -- yes, they exist -- has a Samsung TV. Oh, a monitor of their speech and behavior while in one place. Since we've had one election hack pulled off by Russia and Assange, are we still going to be used as patsies by a security service that Assange never says diddly about? Why would that be, do you think? Enough of this. He should be in jail a long, long time. Now, at least, the other guy (in Moscow now) mostly talks about mass surveillance, and he has some points to make. Not Assange. And certainly not the Russians.

Loans from Russian banks, deals with Russian businesses. Then there's the rumored Rosneft sale which was predicted by the Steele dossier and turned out to be true, with a mysterious company created in the Caymans. We know he lies about his Russia connections, since he says he has none despite hosting the Miss Universe pageant in Moscow.

Or just patriots who are nervous about how unhinged Trump gets- attacking Gold Star families, attacking the intelligence community, his twitter rants about SNL and Hamilton and Nordstroms. He's thin skinned and erratic, which are terrible for a world leader, especially in crisis situations like a North Korean missile crisis or a standoff in the Strait of Hormuz.
If he just released the basic 1040 and "front page" of the various corporate returns it wouldn't show any names.

I find Wikileaks timing of this all too convenient. They've released this to take the heat off of the Russian investigations.

Its just a another diversion for Trump.

Yes, because Wikileaks has been
I don't think anyone ever doubts Wikileaks information. Their information is accurate most of the time. But its the intention behind the leaks that worries people.

Also some of the information leaked is damaging to people's lives. Like for example, there were some leaks a few months back where gay Saudi men were outed. This ruined their lives and reputation. Then there was a Wikileak that showed Steve Job's medical records that showed he was HIV positive. That is personal information that should have never been released.

In pointing out the hypocrisy in some, I failed to mention that most of this stuff needs to be handled in private. I'm in agreement with you.

Trump's mistake is in believing that he was specifically targeted. We're all wiretapped.

Trump is the president of the United States. If he wants to know if he was tapped, he has the best minds all around him who are sworn to serve. IF there is a warrant, from the FBI or the FISA court, it's because a judge accepted the argument that one was needed, either for counter-espionage or for reasonable suspicion of criminal activity. I myself think his bald-faced accusation of Obama as personally putting a tap on his line is grounds for impeachment in and of itself.

Please tell me what evidence there is the DNC was hacked by Russia?

You do realize in this leak, the CIA can pose as Russian hackers when hacking something? How do you know the CIA or a rogue agent didn't pose as Russian hackers and hack the DNC to get Trump elected? They could of done this to get Trump elected and someone hated Hillary, or the CIA did this to stir the pot in getting support on both sides of the aisle for a war with Russia.

You must really have a lot of trust in the Main Stream Media. Don't believe everything that comes out of former CIA Operative Anderson Cooper's mouth.

While I agree with Trump on many issues, I do not agree with him when he called Snowden a traitor. I do not believe for a moment that Trump had anything to do with this release however, I think it is likely that whoever did leak it was a Trump supporter acting on their own.

We KNOW the Russians hacked the DNC last summer because of the evidence left behind... oh, by the way, the CIA Umbrage software was designed to leave false evidence behind that their hacks were the work of the Russians, Chinese, North Koreans or whoever else they want to be blamed for their hacks. oh, and also, former DNI James Clapper testified under oath to Congress that the NSA never intentionally collected any phone records on Americans. There is the traitor that needs to be prosecuted. After Snowden proved that Clapper perjured himself to Congress, Clapper said in an interview, and I quote, "I responded in what I thought was the most truthful, or least untruthful manner, by saying no,"

Oh course, the details cited in the paragraph above are from the ultra-conservative, Alt-Right Washington Post :)

Confirmed by the CIA, FBI, ODNI, DHS, and the German BfV. The hackers accidentally left one of the bit.ly accounts they used for spearphishing set to public instead of private and we were able to trace it back to staging servers in Russia which were also used in a hack of the German parliament. This is part of continued campaign by Putin, who was a KGB officer for 14 years, to weaken western democracies. We also likely have SIGINT and HUMINT on/from Russian agents giving us direct intel from the FSB handlers.

Because none of that makes sense. No one wants a war with a nuclear power. You have to understand that our relationship with Russia was okay until 2014 - they even give us rides to the space station since we no longer have the shuttle. But in 2014 the price of oil bottomed out. Russia is petrostate, which means its economy is primarily oil and gas, so this was devastating. The price of food and common goods has basically doubled since then. In order to distract his people from this, Putin invaded Crimea. This brought about a lot of goodwill with his people in the "we're rebuilding the USSR" vein, but it got sanctions from Obama and the international community, which further hurt their economy. Their GDP is now less than South Korea. Please note, if Obama wanted to start a war with Russia, he could've done it with Crimea and their Ukraine aggression, but he opted for financial sanctions.

Putin was desperate to end the sanctions, so he became "involved" in our election. Who's he going to back, Clinton, who was likely to continue with similar tough but fair sanctions, or Trump, who tweeted:

> Do you think Putin will be going to The Miss Universe Pageant in November in Moscow - if so, will he become my new best friend?

So he went with Trump. The hacking and influence operation came out of that.

Anderson Cooper was never in the CIA. This sounds like something Alex Jones came up with, but he's mentally ill and doesn't even think Sandy Hook was real, so you can discount everything he says as unhinged.

you bring up Alex jones while forgetting the none of the agencies you listed provided any proof of said hacks/interference. love the irony :D

During college, Cooper spent two summers as an intern at the Central Intelligence Agency. Although he has no formal journalistic education, he opted to pursue a career in journalism rather than stay with the agency after school,[13][14] having been a self-proclaimed "news junkie since [he] was in utero."

maybe next time the DNC won't rig the primaries for a woman so despicable that the nation chose trump over her :D

Actually the nation chose her over Trump, since over 2.8 million more people voted for her, the electoral college chose Trump over her.

Yes, that's not some secret since one of the sources for that wikipedia article was Anderson Cooper writing about it on his own CNN blog. That doesn't mean he's a CIA agent. The Venn diagram of reporters and CIA agents intersects with "people who are interested in world events."

They're either lying or were fooled by a cut-out. All the evidence points to Russia.
