I take photos with my DSLR then load to my iPad via Apples SD adaptor to use one of the MANY great camera apps! Can't really see the cloud helping me there ... can you!

Um maybe I don't want to spend $100 more for a little more storage when I can buy the SD card for $40.
I honestly really didn't think many people still used it. Sorry if I seemed a little arrogant but an ad using that idea as its main focus isn't really good now is it?
No, that person made a choice best suited to their needs, just as those who chose to buy an iPad did the same.
My point exactly. Once again I was targeting the "who uses SD cards?" Not the tablets. The iPad is a wonderful thing, just not for photo taking, management and editing, imo.
How do you get the negatives into the tablet???
Don't forget to use red light when developing that film!

The iPad is still the best tablet, but for me it is due mainly to the 4x3 screen ratio.
4x3 is a much more useful screen ratio for web browsing and doing most things one does on a tablet. 16x9 is like looking through a bunker slit and useful only for 16x9 movies.
Having said that, if HTC were to make a 10" 4x3 ratio tablet version of the HTC One, I'd abandon the iPad.
Plus, the fact that the $500 iPad does not offer GPS is inexcusable, IMO and has left a bitter taste in my mouth.

I think the ad is funny and that has no reflection on my opinion on Apple products. The SD slot is a feature that iPad doesn't have. The iPad has advantages that the Windows tablet doesn't have. You advertise your strong points.
I'm looking forward to an Apple reaction to this - a change from the patent wars to the ad wars would be fun.

Ha. They never said they couldn't zoom, just that they couldn't zoom THAT WAY. They also never said you couldn't use an SD Card, just that you couldn't put it THERE. In both cases they were technically correct.
That said, this is the lamest ad I've ever seen.
ipad being better is subjective......
alot of people make decisions based on popularity, advertisement etc.... just because something is more popular doesnt make it "better"
Hilarious ad, they had a similar one with another tablet which finished up comparing the $699 64gb ipad to the $349 Asus vivotab.
For me NO ONE will pry my windows tablet from my cold dead hands, for my uses it is amazing and I feel as I've been waiting for a windows tablet for a looooong time, it's an incredibly liberating feeling not having to use "apps" anymore and be on a real computer. But at the same time many love their ipad for whatever reason. I think people are just too sensitive, it's just marketing, just like the mac versus PC ads, I mean who really cares.

Well, I was referring to zooming out like in the video, but my wording was misleading (I meant zooming when in the home screen, not zooming in on the home screen).
You're calling split-screen multitasking a gimmick? I'd say almost every single iPad owner out there would disagree with that.
There are a lot of (very easy) things Apple could do to make the iPad a much better product, but they wont. They only do things that fix declining sales, and as long as the iPad's sales keep going sky high they wont add anything they dont have to - you know Apple, this is how they work. Keep it limited but wanted.

Gates has really distanced himself from Microsoft. He rarely makes any comments about the company and I believe I read that he has sold about half of his stock in the company and made other investments. He has really moved on from Microsoft.
There is another ad where the PC guy says something to the effect "I love being able to connect a usb cable so I can transfer photos to my computer". That, is classic! I'm surprised they used that comment, because it is just so old school. Too bad MS didn't include a 5.25" floppy drive.
