Funny thing is that I was so busy watching the iPad's non-functionality, I didn't actually see what was running on the other tablet...

Oh I was around for both major campaigns where Apple took blatant potshots at Windows. Sure, there were some who took a stance against it- just like this thread- but the crowd generally gushed & cheered: "so true", "brilliant marketing" and so on.

I don't recall "massive" here as I've been around so long that I feel like Apple could call someone's kid ugly and many of the "someone's" would say, "you know, they're right... I've never seen Jr that way before. He/she is ugly."

I can up to despise Windows too but I like the competition. Apple needs some pushes sometimes. If any competitors can motivate them to do some things that are good for us consumers, more power to those competitors. Competition is good. It can even make Apple do some things that benefit us consumers. Even Apple doesn't know best in all things (though I know for some, that will be sacrilege).

Perhaps you should actually look at the ports on macbook air. In fact every consumer Mac has a SD slot.

Just because you don't need it doesn't mean others don't. $100 for 16GB additional memory is just rip-off.

IMO, I consider this the worst of all arguments every time it is used. Big oil, big pharma, big tobacco, etc make HUGE revenues too and have cumulatively made much more money than Apple has since they've been doing their business. Does that make everything big oil/pharma/tobacco do or push right?

The Gov makes more money than everyone- Apple included- and adds to that take through borrowing with that much more money. Is all things the Gov says or does fully justified because it's revenues are far superior to Apple? If that's the bar, please visit the threads about the current Gov suit against Apple in the Ebook case and deem the Gov right on all counts because it makes more than Apple.

It's great that Apple makes a LOT of money and owns a LOT of market share. A few big tobacco companies owns almost all of the market share for tobacco products and they make a lot of money too. So all they do is just as right???

The company with the biggest market share or the one that makes the most money does not necessarily know or do best in all things. If we want to believe that, Windows market share dwarfs OS X and always has. So Microsoft knows best? MS Office dwarfs iWork and always has. So Microsoft knows best. But of course, we won't argue something that doesn't work for Apple so we'll just change the subject.

I suppose you just remember which page your desired app is on then? You're going to have to look out for an icon either way.

PC: Photos of our family holiday. Aunt May wanted to see everything we visited.

Mac: Can't you just use the cloud?

PC: No. But this way I get to actually store them myself!

Mac: Where does that card even go?

PC: You don't want to know...

Mac: You're probably right.

So that same SD card from your digital camera will fit into a microsd slot on a smartphone or tablet?
 
Pretty sure Apple can go after Microsoft for libel here:

1 - It can zoom. It's an accessibility feature.
2 - There's an adapter you can use to insert an SD card if you're so inclined.

And regarding the prior ad from Microsoft:
3 - Microsoft Office is available for iOS

Microsoft isn't blatantly lying to make their own products sound better than they are - they're doing worse: blatantly lying to make someone else's sound worse than they are.
 
Microsoft is on the right track. For a first generation device, Surface Pro is just marvelous! It will only improve with time. The concept is excellent.

Windows + Windows Phone + Office + Skydrive +Outlook + Xbox integration will be great!

I use an SD card A LOT as a photographer and photo app user; just because you don't, doesn't mean the rest of the world follows suit!

Bottom line is that Apple has created a tablet eco system that is so far ahead of the Windows platform and they are kicking the living cr**p out of the Windows boys and you just can't deal with it. People are voting with their dollars everyday. Thus 27-0 iPad meeting score today my friend. Deal with it!

Imagine adding 128GB to an iDevice for much less than $100: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/PNY+-+1...XT&srccode=cii_9324560&cpncode=30-201342134-2 6-18 months from now, you could probably pop that one out and add a 256GB for about the same price the way SD card prices fall and fall and fall. 384GB iDevice anyone (not for $<iDevice price> plus about $200 times 3)?

I'm not loving Windows or Windows tablets. But I can love some features that Apple could build into their iDevices if they would choose to do so. Instead, ALL of us must live without because- per you apparently- Apple is so successful as a business, whatever they choose to include or leave out is best for everyone. Koolaid at its best.
