I believe this is what they are calling a case friendly layout. When the screen protector is too close to the edge, it may bubble when putting on a case.

I can speak from experience on this one. For my 4S, I never used a case-friendly cut, and on several cases, especially a bumper series from Griffin, the shield would start to come off due to the case shearing it off.

i have this extreme shield....

what i don't like about it, is its lack of coverage around the home button, the ear piece, and the outer edges....they could have EASILY made it more flush, i guess while trying to get a jump on things, they wanted to leave room for error.

Anyway, the ear piece area, theres no symmetry due to the cut to accommodate the light sensor...no like

but it is a thicker piece of glass/plastic whatever....but i think i will take it off as soon as my sgp gets here. that was 35 bucks down the toilet.

I mean seriously though, its a good screen protector, just not for me.

I picked up a Zagg HD the other day and just installed it earlier tonight...It took me no more than 5 minutes and when I was done I examined it very closely and it looked spectacular...The way it is shaped at the top makes it very easy to line up...Nice and clear looking too!

Problem with Extreme

I put on the Extreme last night and here is what it looks like today. Not really bubbles but there is discoloration (looks yellow). I attached a picture.

I have never seen anything like this with previous Zagg covers which i have used since Iphone 3G.

Does InvisibleShield cover the sides of the iPhone? This seems most important since every is saying the iPhone 5 gets nicks and scratches along the side.

One other note ... there was no bubbles after initial installation. It was perfect! Other times I installed the thinner shields there were always a few little bubbles that went away by the next morning.

I was at Best Buy and they had 4 different Zagg screen protectors on an iPad for comparison. My favorite look and feel was the HD model. I bought one and paid an extra $7.99US to have it installed on my iP5.

I was warned it may look hazy while it cures and to not put the phone in my pocket or a case for at least 3 hours.

I haven't had any issues with it so far (in and out of pocket all day). It's crystal clear and finger glide is pretty smooth. It's also the case friendly model and doesn't interfere with cases that overlap the edge of the front.

zagg is great however powersupport reigns king. My film lasted from 3 months after iPhone 4 launch, until I went with a life proof case 5 months ago. My fiance's phone was cracked but the PS kept it usable.

I just got a HD full body. It does not include the sides. The installer from Zagg suggested get a bumper case.

same thing happened to me, and I have installed more than 20 of these between having 5 siblings with iPhones since the first iPhone release. Complete garbage. I took it off and threw it out.

I can't wait for the power support and sgp ones to get here. (I feel like they're two in the same, despite what people say.. as far as quality)

If this works like it says it does without the orange peel effect, then this would be awesome! but i've had bad experience with Zagg so...

I have applied at least 5 shields in the past without issue. But this Extreme for the iPhone 5 is awful at this point. They say it takes up to 4 days to clear up, apposed to the HD version which only takes a day.

I'm seriously doubting this will clear up.

I will have to return the protector back to Best Buy if it does not clear up.

Zagg is the least innovative company I have ever seen. Wrapsol has carried this product for years, and they stand behind it. Zagg's guarantee is a joke. Good luck ever getting them to replace your phone when you drop it and it breaks. Good luck even trying to get them to replace the protector!

Do they actually say they will replace phones? From what I can tell the warranty is for the screen protector only (http://www.zagg.com/support/faq.php#1_98). I wouldn't expect any shield like product to reliably save a device from drops. Unless I missed something and they do cover the phones damage, if you went in asking for that then I wouldn't be surprised if the outcome wasn't to satisfaction. Sounds like you should get insurance to provide cover rather than relying on the goodwill of an accessory manufacturer selling a $20 product.

You should of had them install it for u

Iam still getting the glass.t for my iPhone 5. Maybe I'll wear a zagg on the back. MAYBE.. Or some other cheap on the back since Iam gonna wear a silicone case all day!!

got the full body installed on my 5 the other day. the side pieces are a huge improvement from the iphone 4 invisible shield.

also, they make a full screen coverage HD, not just çase friendly, however you have to order from the website for now because i dont believe any of the kiosks carry them

So the Extreme worked for you? Again, I have installed 5 of their other models, so I wasn't expecting anything out of the ordinary.

It still looks like crap, although it's better than it was. But I just don't think it's gonna go away completely, so I will probably just take it back to best buy.

Not so happy customer

The Zagg Extreme Shield absolutely does not protect the screen from cracks. I had it installed at best buy because I did not have a case yet and wanted the screen protected in the meantime. I had it installed right after purchasing the iPhone 5. Monday, the phone suffered it's first drop from about 2 feet up. It landed face down and shattered.

I have called, and emailed two different people with Zagg and have yet to hear back. I'm not surprised, but it would be nice to at least hear what they have to say. I will no longer use their products, as clearly they do not work.

I just ordered the Extreme. The day I bought my phone at BestBuy, the salesgirl was re-applying some for co-workers who had trouble. She said the secret is that you have to press MUCH harder when smoothing out the bubbles. She showed me how much more rigid the piece of plastic is that you use for smoothing, compared to the original InvisibleShield.

If I'm not happy with it, I am certain I will get a refund--I've always had great experience with Zagg customer service.
