Zagg Extreme full body experience

I bought the Zagg Extreme full body for iPhone 5. Expensive. But, I thought, well, it's worth it if it is what I am looking for.

But, no - the front and back are both not edge to edge. About 1 mm on each side and 1-2 mm gaps on the top and on the bottom. And, because the Extreme is much thinker, it begins to collect dirt and lint on the edges of the film. I just don't really like how it doesn't cover edge-to-edge. Also, on the back where the seams are, I still see significant bubbles under it. What I do like about the extreme is that it is think! I feel that I really don't need a case with that protection. It would have been perfect if it actually covers the edge-to-edge. Does it covers at least your entire touch screen? Yes.

So I thought - even thought I am spending more money for something that should have coat me less, maybe I should given them another chance to exchange for the maximum coverage, which is not the Extreme only the Original. I had to pay the shipping for something almost only half price of what I paid for and I'll need to pay to ship the Extreme back. (By the way, someone asked - when I remove the Extreme, nothing was left on the screen.)

Waited a week to receive the original maximum coverage. ...

When it arrived, it looked about covering edge-to-edge so I removed the front Extreme and apply the maximum coverage. There is still a little gap on the one side of the front. But, since the original version is much thinner, you can hardly notice as much as the Extreme. Also, there is about 1 mm gap around the entire home button.

I really wish they have Extreme with maximum coverage! The maximum coverage of the original version feels so much less protection after I know how the Extreme felt. I mean, come on, for $49.99 and they can't make it maximum coverage? really?! I would think that they should target people who don't want to use a case for the Extreme.

I am giving the original maximum coverage a week to make me keep it. If I have to decide today - Honestly, I would just return the whole thing and ask for a refund.

For those of you who use cases, I would recommend the Extreme for your screen though. Or, if you don't care about the 1mm gap, it's a very good product.

Invisishield Extreme

Hi, I just bought 4 new iphones and got the invisishield extreme on all 4 of them. It's been 3 days since application and the screen is still foggy. Rep said it could take up to 7 days to dry since the shield is put on with a gel rather than the usual spray. If after another 4 days it doesn't go away I'll be paying a visit to the Invisishield Kiosk for replacement. Never had a problem with their regular screen.

I got Zagg HD on mine. Case friendly and looks beautiful. had it on my 4 also. waited two days and put on case. a poetic atmosphere and it rubs at the top and is starting to come off. not sure what to do.

Zagg is a Scamm

ZAGG is a SCAMM!
I purchased a 'FULL BODY COVER' from Zagg recently for my new iphone.
I did have their older version for my old iphone, which had little holes cut out where the holes in the iphone were.
This one has huge sections missing around the camera etc...
I don't now if you saw the video they have going around... shooting arrows and bombs and what ever at the phone and nothing happens to it.
Well, today, I tripped going up the stairs, fell down, my phone fell out of my hand, and fell down, cracking up pretty badly.
I called Zagg, and all they keep repeating is "Sorry, the only thing we can do is get you a new screen"
What kind of BS is that??? They have everything and anything trying to kill this phone and nothing can do it, but a simple fall kills it and they say, OOPS???
Why did I just spend all this money on something that's "guaranteed" to protect my phone??? I say SCAM!
Who wants to do something abou this??? I'm going to post this all over the internet until I get an action going or Zagg is going to honor what they say. LIARS!
Bottom line: I bought the full coverage for both front and back. It isn't. And now that my phone is destroyed, they don't care. So basically, I would have been better off buying a $1 case and that would have been that.

No, you had unreasonable expectations. Invisible shield is designed to protect from scratches, no film is going to be able to negate the force of a drop.

Common sense would have to agree with you. However, the OP has a point in that Zagg does go out of their way to make it seem that if you use the extreme shield your phone will not break regardless of what you do to it. I know they aren't liable and this guy is out of luck but I can see why he is so upset.

No.

and Yes.

So does the HD protector REALLY protect against drops?

I had one on my iPhone 4. My toddler had grabbed my phone and was slamming it with blocks before I realized she had it. There were really deep indents in the protector and I was sure that the phone was cracked. But when I took it off it was perfectly fine. Zagg kindly replaced the shield. I don't think it would withstand a drop onto a hard surface, but for other types of abuse it does a good job.

I agree on the common sense argument. The iPhone is an extraordinarily sophisticated piece of technology and plastic shields can only do so much. As far as Zagg's response, I quote the most excellent singer songwriter Tom Waits:

"The big print giveth and the small print taketh away."
