Of all the things that might concern me about the next iPhone, this isn't one of them. Every iPhone to date has run flawlessly (on the OS used at release). I have no doubt this will be the same, whatever the technical specifications.

Whats the reason the new iPhone might need the A6 instead of the current chip in the new iPad? What might it have that depends on that extra processing power? Thanks.

For one thing, no heat sink, ugh!

To this day I still can't believe they actually released the iPad 3 with a ****ing heat sink on the chip. If the tech wasn't ready, they shouldn't have released it, and the iPad has no business getting so hot in normal use. Imagine if your phone was like that all the time. :)

New, faster chip, bigger display with higher resolution, new body with less bezel, even thinner than before, yet more solid with back glass switched for metal, 4G LTE, and a new OS to go with it.

This could be the biggest iPhone update ever, and people here will still complain like crazy.

I for one can't wait.

The thing is, internal spec upgrades are something people have come to expect when an upgraded tech item gets released, so it is hardly something to crow about (and we know Apple tends to be quite conservative with specs). IOS6 runs on a 4s as well, unless it benefits the new iphone in some unique way. Same with 4G.

Likewise, Samsung was able to crap out a larger screen in less time, so what's there to be excited with about a slightly larger screen?

That's something I don't understand. The upcoming iphone can have anandtech writing a thesis about whether a minor feature will be included or not. Last I remember, the galaxy S3 didn't receive anywhere near as much fanfare.

I would like to rephrase your comment:

New chip(fast is so obvious, it's an upgrade after all), slightly big display, same body, thinner dont matter at this point, glass was revolutionary- as steve said, 4G, and a slight upgrade to OS with SIRI limited to only few countries for local search and all.

Why are all "leaked" photos always taken with camers set to their lowest resolution? Guys, just get a better damn smart phone, seriously. It's not the '80s any more!

You can getcaught from the geotagging on new phones
