Didn't Amazon already fail with this?

Many companies failed with MP3 players before the iPod. Many companies failed with smartphones before the iPhone. Several companies have failed with tablets before the iPad.

Apple is known for taking an intriguing idea and making it cool and useful.

Oh joy, it's already time for iPhone 7 rumors. Who cares what iPhone 7 is like as long as it is at least 2mm thinner and easier to bend back into shape.

Taiwanese media website Economic Daily News [Google Translate] (via GforGames) is wrong.

Uh no. I tried using that nintendo DS system that had glasses free 3D and all it did was give me a headache. No thanks.

I wouldn't mind an iPhone being 3D capable, but I don't think the technology is there yet to do it nicely glasses free. It would also have to have a quick toggle to turn it on or off because I think it can be awesome with some apps, using it all the time would be more of a distraction.

Don't see anyone wasting their time on 3D anymore. It had a good run and took plenty of money from consumers. My TV in the bedroom has it, only because it was a side effect of already being on the TV I wanted.

clearly the next iPhone will be the 6S and it will not have a 3D display. Also parallax is a waste of time and resources

If Apple pulls this off, it will be another unique hardware advantage that cannot be replicated like Touch ID. Yeah, there are other phones with fingerprint scanners, but their inconsistency and insecurity does nothing but further glorify Apple's Touch ID. Plus, unlike any other phone feature, this will be supported by developers very quickly.

Like translucency?

I REALLY question this.

Plus, 3D really isn't good for the eyes I believe...

And they'll charge like $50 for new/replacement glasses
