3D Hologram coming to the next iPhone?

LOL

No, I want a phone I can charge once a month and is water proof to 350m and has the strength to bend the top 5 competitor phones. Meaning, I can use it as a crow bar to open my front door when I lose my keys.

If you're going to do anything with display. I want a holographic 27" retina touch display with more power than the Mac Pro. I want to make Minority Report weap and fall to their knees. Otherwise I'm keeping my 6+ for a good 3-4 years.

My first thought when I see things like this is "Hm, Apple must have a good idea for implementation." 99% of the time this happens to be true. Most people tend to respond to new features with a knee jerk "I don't understand it right now, so it must be a terrible idea!" Can't you beotches just be happy about cool shnit Apple does, and trust for one second that they will do it right despite the doubts you have with the extreme limited information (and limited imagination, apparently) at your disposal?

Good if it's optional which is likely with anything 3D, so you can turn it one only when needed. It's hard to see much use for it on a smart phone but Apple has a history of adding things that many think are gimmicks but turn out to be very useful. Just look at the 5s with Touch ID.

I've seen a decent Android phone with a 3D camera and glasses-free 3D display. I think it was from HTC. I thought it looked decent. The guy switched to iPhone. I didn't ask why.

I dunno. Sounds like a gimmic to me. I don't think I want a 3D screen on my iphone. Not unless I can turn off the effect anyway.

No, the profits they wanted were at the bigger-sized screens (they knew the fans would just follow them to bigger sizes). And, since the lawyers couldn't stop Samsung and others from selling iPhone look-a-likes, Apple moved into their space with bigger screens that could run iOS and took away the competition's most distinguishing benefit. It appears Samsung and others are feeling more pain now than they have through all this legal action for years now.

I completely agree with all that you say.
But now that Apple has abandoned the smaller screen size phone market, I hope that they begin to lose market share from that market like they were losing market share from the large-screen market.
Then perhaps with future iPhone 7 or 8 Apple can get back to the sizes of phone I like:)
I think (hope) there is a large market for both sizes and I see no reason why they can't supply both to make everybody happy.
Of course, when has Apple ever done anything that makes everybody happy:(

3-D is how we see the world, and it is the future for all displays. Right now kind of sucks, but if 3-D isn't the way you should just get out at one of your eyeballs because having 2 eyes is pointless.

I remember some time in the eighties, when my auntie and uncle got two holograms. They were tiny and they'd even had special lighting installed to show them off. Everyone spoke about how one day all pictures would be 3D.

And here we are, 30 years later, and the only 3D pictures I'm aware of are on credit cards.

Our brain is an amazing thing, and it can work out depth without the need for a 3D display.

Apple is starting to piss me off. Instead of doing research on important phone functions like BATTERY LIFE, they want to give us some useless gimmick?

"iPhone 7 3D comes with free headaches!"

So a random guy spreads false rumors that have absolutely no proof but you blame Apple?

What about the pixel density? A glasses free 3D display require twice as many pixels as a 2D display. That means in order for apple to maintain the appearance of a 326 ppi, they would need to bump the horizontal resolution up to 2668px. The 6 plus would need to be 4416px by 1242px.

Not to mention the graphics power needed to push that many pixels. Is the 3D effect really worth the reduction in performance and battery life?

3D is a dead fad. No one wants it or uses it. I don't even watch movies in 3D anymore. 3D was interesting with "Avatar", but now it's just meh. 3D does not impress me. I'd much rather have more RAM in my phone than the useless capability to watch something in 3D.

Apple will continue to offer 2D models, but they will be capped at 1GB RAM. In order to get more RAM, you'll have to opt for the 3D iPhone.
