The Nexus 4 is truly the first time I've felt a phone match the premium feel of the iPhone. It really is that level every time you pick it up.

I certainly agree, ATM I have two phones, a SGS3 and the N4 and am having trouble deciding which one to ditch, I like the simplicity of Vanilla Android but also like Touchwiz, each has its merits, I for one, don't mind the build quality of the S3, it doesn't flex when it is all fitted together, but IMHO the N4 is up a notch on feel and pride of ownership (If that makes any sense) I think I will keep them both for another couple of weeks just to be sure that I sell the one I enjoy the least.

I am utterly in love with the data speeds I've been getting with this phone but I am churning through data like nobody's business.

That's since the 18th of November.

Great Scott! Are you on T-Mobiles unlimited package or something?

Three UK do totally unlimited data and my speeds on my phone decimate our home broadband:

I've been hitting up to 23 Meg on my N4 which doesn't help vs our ADSL!

Yes. Much sense.

I'm actually self conscious, in some ways, when pulling the phone out in public. It's as if, for the first time ever, someone will take notice of my Android phone, like the Nexus will turn heads. Never had that feeling before with any Android device.

My two cents: I'd stick it out with the N4. I can't stand the physical home button on the S3. It takes "work" to press it. >.<

One thing I miss about iOS is not being able to do anything about bad battery life :p

On Android there's loads of apps to monitor this and that and even more options if you're rooted (which I am). Does anyone else obsess over their phones performance more than they ever did when when using an iPhone?

I know what you mean. If you're going to obsess, it's best to just uninstall those apps. It's also the reason I haven't enabled the mod which show the battery percentage in the notification bar.

I uninstalled BetterBatteryStats because I know I don't have any rogue app/processes right now and I was getting an annoying pop up every now and then when I unlock my phone saying it was granted root access. This should only happen when you boot or unplug it from a power source so I don't know why it's happening after I unlock from the lock screen randomly.

I'm still going to keep using a kernel and it's app to underlock the phone since I really don't do anything cpu intensive. (faux123 kernel) and CPU Spy app to make sure it's doing it's job :p

I rarely look at the phone's built in battery stats because I don't understand them anymore. They always show the screen on time being way more than the phone awake time. On my S3 that was never the case and that made sense, this doesn't. I don't know if it's a bug or they changed something

Regarding the battery icon in the status bar, I just love the look of the AOKP circle mod too much :p

This device is really both a pleasure to pick up and a pleasure to use.

Turning off Google Now really helps the batteries by the way. I only leave a few cards active. It's worth configuring a bit and turning off things you don't need (like I really don't need to be updated on sports scores constantly).

I actually feel like less people would notice, and just assume it was an older android. When I showed the people at work, none of they seemed as impressed with it as I was =/

I could definitely see that happening too. Anyone who doesn't know Android and sees that it's not the S3 will probably assume it's some other humdrum Android device.

It's almost like you a wielding a piece of technology that is so new that only a tech person will appreciate it.....granted a lot of people still did not know what the last nexus was....it is just not main stream.

Just realized that you can open apps with Google now. But only the built in pre loaded apps work right now. Messaging, phone, Gmail etc.

Doesn't seem to work too well at calling or texting people though.

What does everyone think about a nexus 4 wallpaper thread? I would start it but I'm searching for wallpaper now and not having much luck.

I've been using this pull tab pouch case for about a few days now and I really like it.

At first it was really hard to get the phone in and out and I thought it was meant for some other phone but the seller listed it as for the Nexus 4 to get more buyers, but I was wrong. It's now loose enough that it isn't a PITA to take in and out.

In terms of quality I wouldn't say it's exactly high end but for $6 I say anyone looking for a pouch should definitely get this. Sorry I didn't take any pictures of it yet. I'll see if I can later but if I don't, then don't worry cause it looks exactly like it does in the photos.

Is it just me or is the screen quite yellow based on the images on the first page.

It's not as bad in person as it looks in those pictures. My iPhone 4 seems a tad yellower compared to my Nexus 4.

(excuse the crappy pics, they were taken with my ZTE Blade)

Yea same for me. I don't see yellow.

But that one pic of the N4 next to the i4..... wow, I thought it must be a Note 2 next to the iPhone with how small the iPhone's screen seemed.

Managed to get one ordered in the UK today! 3-5 day delivery! Just a shame the bumper was OOS.

Will be sad to get rid of my S3 as its been a great device.

In everyday use I don't even notice the difference between the two but those pics do show how much larger the nexus 4 is screen wise! :D
