Anyway..... I'm so tempted to drop into best buy today and pick up this phone. I know it's the worse option for several reasons but my nov 26 ship date just seems so far away. Ugh

Yep it will work just fine. There's 1 US version and 1 international version.
I mean really it is $100 more to get it in store. I guess that is up you if that is a reasonable cost to buy in person.
Are they branded in any way? Would there be any difference between buying the Sprint version at BBY versus buying through the Play Store? Except pricing obviously....
I'm in your boat with the long ship time.....ordered mine Monday and still hasn't processed or anything. 3-4 weeks is a long time and my GS4 has already sold and shipped so I'm currently only on my work phone.....
Might be worth the extra $100 - which if you think about it is not quite $100 because you'll save the shipping costs....which was about $14 for me.....so I'm looking at spending an extra $86. I guess BBY gets out of price matching by saying its a "Sprint version" and is therefor not the same as the one on Google Play (even though it is). I mean - they DO match Amazon.....
You said buying at BBY is the worse option for MANY reasons - any others aside from warranty support and price?
EDIT: Just remembered the $10 gift certificate BBY gave me for shutting down their store in my area....now its only a $75 difference.....tempting. Since my Play order hasn't processed yet, I could get them to cancel it right?

No, I was referring to warranty and price. I guess "many" was an exaggeration lol. But in my case I am also going to get an iPad mini and wireless charger and I can spend the extra money toward those things.
I mean it's not the money so much that concerns me. It's the warranty. If there is a manufacturers defect or something it has to be sent to LG. Then I'm stuck using an older phone for who knows how long. Buying through google they just send it right away and you send your phone back when it gets in. So in the long run I know it's better to go through google but it's just hard to resist.
Ya, I'm with ya.....ugh. Either I go without a phone for 4 weeks now and order through Google. Or spend roughly $75 more to get it today and risk there being a defect which causes me to need to get it repaired......
Honestly, I didn't have any issue with Nexus 4, but sent my Nexus 7 back twice.....so mixed experiences with regards to quality control. UGH - difficult decision.....
Though - being a elite plus member, I DO have a 45 day return window......could buy it from BBY and then just return it when the Google one comes.....guess that's kinda cheating.

Haha I was thinking about doing the same exact thing. Oh by the way you only get an hour to cancel your order after submitting.
I know - thought about calling them up, but I'm with you as far as warranty goes.
I'm going to stop by BBY after work.....might just pull the trigger and return when my Google Play order ships.....lol. Any downside to working it this way? Aside from an extra setup I'll have to do when I get the phone from Google?
EDIT: My other thought is to grab a Lumia 520 Go Phone from Amazon for $100.....I still haven't tried WP8, might be fun. But then, I'd be out the $100 - I too am looking to get an iPad mini retina....though it seems increasingly more likely I'll be waiting until next year for one (early 2014 due to constraints and my lack of ability to get one when they first come out).

No I don't think so. Unless you drop the phone or something so be careful lol and you could just restore from your google account when you get the google play version. Would make switching a lot easier. Maybe I'll just go look at it and try my hardest not to buy lol
Well - that might be the way I go then....just so I have a phone for the time being. We'll see. Also considering picking up a Lumia 520 go phone as a backup and to use for now.....

Is it confirmed that a phone bought from Best Buy is still unlocked and able to use on Tmobile/ATT?
I gave up on my Nexus 5. Might be the quickest Android I've ever ditched. To quirky for my tastes. Less than 24 hours for me.
I am NOT on Sprint, but from what I've read there are only 2 versions of the phone overall - a US variant and International variant. I'll double check the model number when I'm at BBY and will report back.
Can someone post the model number for the 16 GB Black Nexus 5 from Google Play? I know there's only supposedly 1 US version, but I'd like to make sure the BBY one is the same as the Google Play one.
^^^ I agree that it would be great is someone can verify that the BBY Sprint phone is same as Google Play. Don't want any sprint software or printing on the device.

Good news, going to stop at T-Mobile store and see what my options are, that is super close to my return policy on my 5S.
Sucks that they are charging an extra $100. Will just use EIP on it.
It was too quirky. A ton of apps kept crashing and others (like Voxer) didn't work correctly either. Like when I got a new message the app would just play it in the background even it not on. Camera wasn't too good either. Just not my fancy.

Finally got it fixed by restarting the device.
