Don't know how legit these pics are, but found the article right now on twitter.
Looks kind of in line with the other leaks we have seen, with Hangout, new phone icon and a new (but better designed) camera icon.

The icons are much smaller, though, than the recent leaks. I think it is a mockup. All of the recent leaks have shown larger icons.

I mean I think the on screen image is a mockup. The phone could be a legit press photo.

Edit: Now that I look more closely, the dock icons are small but the rest are large. That makes sense I guess, since there is less room in the dock.

Another thing that leads me to believe that it is a mockup is that the current home screen in the Telus photo is the third screen. The other leaks have stated that with the new launcher the main screen will be the second screen, with the first screen being Google Now. Android Police said that, "It will be one swipe to the left from the far left home screen panel, making it feel like part of the launcher." As you can see in this screen grab from the leaked video, the main home screen shows up as the second screen.

Of course it could have been changed since the prior leaks.

Also, the wallpaper is one by Romain Guy. I think that should also lend more credibility to the photos. Maybe they decided to remove the swipe left to Google Now from the previous leaks and make the middle screen the main screen, as it was before.

Wow has that been discussed here? Maybe I missed a post or 2, but I did not realize there were leaks that stated this. Very interesting.

That looks really cool. Thanks for the links. I am starting to really get pumped about this phone. I knew this was going to happen. I told myself I was going to wait, and get the phone after the new year. Not going to happen. I won't be able to resist getting it at launch.

As excited as I am about this phone, I will definitely wait. I have to be sure the battery life and the camera are both good before I commit to it.

Also, I'm wary of LG's quality control as I went through a number of Nexus 4 devices with microphone issues. It just wouldn't hurt to be safe and see if any issues come up in the early batches.

It'll be hard, but I will exercise patience.

Yea you are very right. Now while I did not have that many issues with my nexus 4. I am still not the biggest fan LG. I wish the N4 was the last phone Google used LG for. I don't like the G2 much at all. It just seems like a direct rip off of the S4. It was just a little bigger.

Yea maybe I will wait on some reviews and see what they say. I just know I will get the urge to get it after I see people on here talking about. I need to fight it. I have a great phone in the HTC one.

Yeah I'm waiting for battery reports. If I'm going to sacrifice my G2's incredible battery life for crappy battery life I'd probably just go back to an iphone.

I need one of two things to happen; Google to release the nexus 5 or development to pick up on the G2.

They may not have an official press event and instead just announce the product(s) via press releases like last year, though that was due to Hurricane Sandy.
I think this year will be big enough to warrant an event. Especially if the rumors of a Nexus Smartwatch turn out to be true.

Looks like the Nexus 4 is totally gone from the Play Store.
