Yeah I'm waiting for battery reports. If I'm going to sacrifice my G2's incredible battery life for crappy battery life I'd probably just go back to an iphone.

How are you dealing with that menu button instead of the multitasking button?

I got rid of those horrendous navigation buttons a while ago, I think it was one of the first things I did. In place of it I put my own auto hiding navigation bar which comes up with a simple swipe of the finger. It has a multitask button AND a menu button.

That's the beauty of Android, despite it's other flaws. Customizing like this is pretty awesome.

Nice! I wasn't sure if the G2 was rooted already. Yeah that would bother me too.

We don't know that yet. But I guess it is possible.

I just think this is weird that they would sell this without an event, but why would they already have it up on the site if they were not about to sell it?

It just seems like if it is already ready to put on the site. Then they are getting really close to release.

Nexus 5

YES! Only $349 like I guessed!! That eases the fears of it being super expensive. How does google mess up and put the phone online like that?

----------

Nexus 4 is back on the play store now after the error. Lol @ google

Maybe google feels there's enough hype to just release the phone without an event? There is clearly a lot of hype from the target buyers. The regular consumers won't see a press event anyway so maybe google is saying why waste our time?

Wow, maybe the 5 will be out sooner than I thought.
Here in Canada, Play just shows the Nexus 4 (out of inventory).
Kind of excited about the N5.

Yep, sure enough... it's there.

Gotta say, I was really hoping for pricing of $299 for 16gb and $399 for 32gb. I could *probably* get away with 16gb but I'd much prefer 32gb. Not sure that I wanna spend that much though (for the 32).

Announcement Oct 18. Release date Oct 28.
16gb for $349. 32gb for $399.

Well they only showed the 16GB @$349. So there's still hope for you to get a 32GB @$399.

I am thinking we might see this tomorrow. It seems very unlikely that there would be a slip like this unless they are less than 24 hours away from releasing something.

So, the 32GB Nexus 5 will likely be 400. You didn't want to spend that much yet you were hoping it would cost that much?

I knew they wouldn't break the 400 dollar mark! Google's never charged more than $50 bucks for storage increase.

I was hoping for $329/379 but I can totally live with $349/399.

Bring it on.

Don't forget you are going to be patient and wait to hear build quality, camera quality, and battery life before getting one. Haha! Good luck with that. j/k! I'll be a beta tester for you...

My credit card is ready. What are they waiting on? It's been leaked like crazy.

Oh, believe me, I am. Doesn't mean I'm not excited. ;)

But yes, all early adopters, please post impressions.
