Ok, cool. 12GB should be enough for a few playlists, and I've never loaded anything to the brim with apps anyway. I'm hoping that 4.4 winds up being nice and stable but my Android experience stops at Gingerbread so pretty much anything has to be an upgrade in that regard. I think part of the instability I'm experiencing is that the phone is out of internal memory and carrier crap can't be removed to the SD card or uninstalled completely.

Expect bugs until 4.4.1, but regardless, coming from Gingerbread, my oh my, you're in for a treat. Android has come a loooong way since then.

Ya - I figure I'll have to.....a shame since I bought all these accessories for it....kinda feel bad! haha....

Figure with an S-View cover, Spigen Slim Armor case, extra battery and charger, and a 64 GB microSD card to go along with the 16 GB phone itself, I'll be trying to get somewhere in the neighborhood of $550 for the lot.

So you are going to sell the GPE S4. You think the N5 will be a huge difference?

No regular ATT GS4.....don't have the GPE version.

Oh I thought you said you were getting the GPE. Well this for sure will be a great upgrade. Stock is always the best. I am still debating if I want to sell my HTC one. This has been the best android phone I have to date.

I better fetch a pretty penny for my unlocked HTC One 64GB Dev Edition! I'm thinking of selling it at the $500+ mark. Profit and a [presumably] better phone? Win!

Only downgrade is the storage size and maybe the Boom speakers, depending on how well the stereo speakers are on the N5.

Tb, you selling your HTC One Dev Edition? And if so, for how much?

64GB version?

is this phone good for listening to music.....?

If I want a music phone is it better for me to get the htc one?

$500+ is a little too much. It's going to be really tough.

I can buy an AT&T variant all day long around here for $350-375. I've seen the Dev Editions 64gb go for $425-450 on Swappa and Ebay. There's one right now for $510 and it's been there for a few months.

Can Google just show it to us already.... I should order one online and sell it for a profit on CL. :D

hopefully the stock is adequate this time around. They still do not market them much, but based on the amount of orders last year they hopefully will come through.

I'm hoping Google learned their lesson. The Nexus 7 2 launch gives me hope they did, but one also has to consider that it launched in retail stores too like Staples, Best Buy, GameStop, etc.

I am waiting for reviews/impressions and the first batch or two to go out -- I sure hope when I'm ready to buy, Google will have it in stock. And I'm only getting the 32GB version.

Same. I'm waiting for camera and battery reviews.

I'm ready for a few bugs - getting away from freezing, crashing and pulling the battery is what I look forward to most. That and, timely OS updates from the OEM without having to do a lot of the work finding and installing the best revision for my type of phone on my own.

What's the normal queue to get one from Google like? Maybe a couple or three weeks between announcement and shipping?

Man if this thing doesn't get announced until the end of the month it's going to be a painful couple weeks.

Looks like an awesome phone, excited for KitKat. Wish it was coming to VZW as others have voiced :( Trying to figure out what phone to follow-up my 4S with. I want to come back to android!

Depends. Last year the nexus 4 unless you were on of lucky few who got in the first few hours had 4-5 week delays until Jan 2013 hit.

I was on the website within 5 minutes of it being available, and my order wouldn't go through because so many people were trying to order it. I hope they've figured out a better way to do it this time.

I'm apologizing up front for the long-winded response--didn't intend it to be when I clicked reply but thinking about it started a train of thought...

Not yet, waiting to see real world reviews of the Nexus 5 before deciding (and yes, it's 64GB).

If I actually quell my inner tech geek excitement and objectively compare the One and Nexus 5 against what I want in my device, there really isn't really anything too compelling that should make me switch. Sense doesn't bother me because I really don't use much of it and what I do, I really like (camera software and Blinkfeed). The display won't be any better, battery life likely won't be better (possibly worse), speakers won't be better, I love the physical design and build materials of the One. I've also put over 40+GB to use so I'd have to more carefully manage the storage. The Nexus will be a smaller overall size, hopefully have a better camera (though stock Android's camera features are pretty sparce), have Kit Kat and wireless charging.

I also have to confess that I've seriously considered getting an iPhone 5S, primarily because I want to have at least one iOS device and I've now moved onto using Android tablets (Nexus 7 and Note 10.1). I generally always have a tablet with me with LTE access so I'm finding I don't do much heavy lifting with my phone (music, internet radio, texting, quick email, some other light app use) so the benefits of Android are largely unused. And as Android's polish has improved markedly, I still have more nuisance issues than I ever did with an iPhone (i.e. MMS limitations, bluetooth needing to be reset, entire phone reset due to battery consumption issues, terrible backup/restore). The iPhone's camera is terrific and all around integration/sharing with my iOS laden family/friends is a bit easier (iMessage, AirPlay, photostream sharing). And since I don't really do web browsing or other activities that benefit from a larger screen on my phone, I don't mind the smaller size, in fact find I like it.

I'm not trying to turn this into an iOS vs. Android because I still find Android generally to be overall superior but for my specific needs, iOS is in many ways a better solution. I've now found that I'm putting the added flexibility and more robust elements of Android to better use on tablets--go figure.

My mind is far from made up because there are elements I miss going in either direction. Oh hell, I may just end up selling the One and getting BOTH a Nexus and iPhone (have an upgrade to use). Decisions, decisions...

Regardless, I'm going to try to wait at least a month to see how the Nexus performs and how good Google Play Music is on iOS (supposedly out within a month, heavy user of All Access service).
