Nexus 5

New rumor today that 4.4 could be announced today. Will have to wait a few hours more and see...

Another rumor today says October 31 again for Nexus 5.
 
I'm enjoying all the buzz, anticipation and true innovation that's coming from the Android camp. It's a great alternative to the rather predictable and sometimes negative law suit centered iOS buzz.

I fondly remember the days when Apple was positive and fun. Today it's like reading about your average large lumbering mainstream corporation.
 
Thinking about this so much I had a dream about the N5 being released out of the blue and I missed out went to order and the page kept freezing and it sould out and I was left behing :mad:
 
I don't think I've noticed this pic up yet so I'll post it. Anybody planning on picking up a case with your Nexus 5, and if so, which one? I originally planned on carrying my N5 naked but the prospect of reselling every year to upgrade sounds pretty enticing.:roll eyes:

I'm definitely planning to carry it naked. I love the feeling of my Nexus 7's back and the Nexus 5's back should be the same.

Screen protector. And that's it.

Of your list, the clear one is the nicest, IMO.

I have the Spiegen clear on my Nexus 4. Very nice case protector and I will be going with something similar on the Nexus 5.

90% of the time I hate cases unless I'm out in the field but I gotta say. Those are some damn nice looking cases. I'd get one just based on looks.
 
I'd get the left one. Clear would probably just end up with lint trapped between the case and phone, and I really need to get a case because I listen to music a lot and every few months the headphone cord ends up dragging the device to the edge of the desk and dropping it on the floor.
 
Evleaks leaks yet another rendering. Back looks slightly different than what we've seen before, don'tcha think? It's a bit more defined. And you can tell in this leak the center circle is definitely an ear speaker.

EDIT: Actually, i think this is as close to the real thing as we're gonna see.

Is it just me or does the bottom bezel look even bigger than on the Nexus 4?

Oddly, i find something about the Evleaks one looks more refined and legit. More real, if you will, like the actual finished product. But I get what you're saying.

So let's see...let's count the amount of things some people have griped about. I mean, we just added another to the list. Hey! It'll be fun!

1. Battery size
2. What's that thing around the camera???
3. Battery size
4. Why is the ear piece round?
5. Battery size
6. The Nexus 4 looks so much more premium!
7. Battery size
8. Now we're gonna gripe about the bezels top and bottom not being equal?

Jeez. Some of you are NEVER going to be satisfied. Just move along already and leave the rest of us that really want this phone in peace.

It looks fake to me. The backside render is missing the side buttons. The screen image is just a modified version of the one from Telus. The time was changed from 8:40 to 7:00.

That is definitely odd. Evleaks isn't perfect, but he's a pretty reliable leaker.

I guess who knows.

I don't know what to make of it. I see what you're saying about it looking more real. It does look more like an actual product photo than a render.

Also it looks like there is a notification light at the bottom. I haven't seen that in any other photos.

LOL, agree. I like the round earpiece and my bezels arent the same size on my GS3 either but the fact is, the N5 is 2 mm shorter than the N4 and it has a bigger screen.. You can never satisfy geeks :p

I recall a poster in the iPhone section who would return his phone for the dumbest things....like the buttons werent flush enough to his liking:rolleyes:
I think his name was spaz or something.
