Btw Joshua T seems like such a spergy douche lol.

Well, it seems like the entire staff at The Verge seems to be like that. They have this aura of superiority and i'm better than you... just look at how they interact with their audience in the comments section.

Also, you better pray to whatever deity you follow if you are critical of an article because a few of them will come out of the woodwork and team up on you.

This is a thing I really miss from iOS

Android doesn't need tap to top. One swipe gets you to the top or bottom of any long webpage, or document or list. I prefer this over a 'tap to top' that only works in Safari. All the rest of the time, it is swipe, swipe, swipe... Gets old, real fast. This is my biggest critique of iOS. The self-inflicted lag by Apple. It is completely unnecessary and easily fixed. Yet, they've kept it the same for years.

Quote from Josh on the Vergecast just a moment ago, "this isn't a review but if it was, I'd say this is not a very good camera." He followed it up by saying the shots he was taking simultaneously with his Moto X were far better.

:(

While I prefer the method Android takes, it sometimes can take more than one swipe to get to the top of anything depending on its length. Right now on The Verge's mobile site there is the Sprint Nexus 5 article. It has 41 comments and one strong fast swipe to go to the top from the bottom only takes you about 75% of the way before the momentum disappears. At least on my Note 2 in Chrome.

Going to the forum/comments on the Verge is like going to the fanatical websites like AppleInsider or Crackberry. The people that post (and even moderate it are way out in left field. I still see Crack berry fans still saying Blackberries are coming back and sales are good.

Yeah, even though Android scrolls faster you're still forced to exercise those thumb muscles quite a bit with longer pages. A one touch to top or bottom alternative would be awesome.

Enter my ultimate wet dream (I loathe on screen buttons) - the capacitive strip. A section of the bezel just below the screen is divided into menu/home/back but also works as one combined swipe-able zone. Swipe right for forward and left for back. Two fingers down for go to end, two fingers up for go to top. And three finger swipes/press available for something else. (All user-configurable of course.)

Santa pleaze, give me this for the Nexus 6 (along with a top notch camera).

Not on my Nex4 or 7. One swipe is all it takes. May be an issue with the Touch wiz overlay on your Note?

Seems like I won't be able to get it trough the PlayStore because I don't have an american card.

Do you guys know if they will sell it unlocked at BB?? If so, would it be safe to assume that will carry the same price tag?

order a 16GB black.

it said out of stock, so i ordered a 32GB. Then it took me back to the play store where the 16GB was back in stock, so i ordered that too and cancelled the 32GB. The 32GB is actually the better deal, but i just do not use that much space anymore. i actually plan on keeping this phone for as long as possible - which means until i break it.

Ordered 32 GB black version. It's supposed to leave the warehouse on the 8th. I'm excited to be back on the Nexus program. My 4 broke and I've been using an HTC One.

What the heck are you guys looking at on that tiny iphone screen that you would need to worry about your thumb getting sore scrolling up and down? Maybe it's a bit more feasible on a 5" screen, but still, my eyes would shrivel up and die if I was reading that much on my phone screen.

I have Tapatalk configured to show 50 messages per page, one swype doesn't take from the bottom to the top in my Nexus 4

I'll post a video. My Nex7 is running the stock OS, although it is rooted. May be an animation setting? I don't know what to say. I flick once and I get from top to bottom.

The main lag I see is that scrolling doesn't track with your finger as closely as it does on iOS. Also in Chrome pinch to zoom still requires your fingers to be spaced further apart before it starts zooming than it does on iOS, and that is annoying.

THIS!! Pinch to zoom on my nexus 7's that I returned bothered the crap out of me. Is this a chrome thing of a system wide problem? Can anyone check to see if there is better responsiveness in another browser?

Its most likely chrome. Installing the old AOSP browser gets rid of this issue.

Tap to top works system wide.

Sorry, not sure I understand. I was talking about Android, and I personally use a Note 2 which is perfect for extended reading. And the complaint about no tap to top isn't a very serious one. It's just slightly annoying sometimes. And a detail like tap to top would just add a bit of elegance to the whole ui experience. I really like having it on iOS even though I wouldn't do extended reading on an iPhone.
