I'm super happy we finally have Kit Kat 4.4 as well as the Nexus 5. I got exactly what I was expecting in regards to Kit Kat 4.4.

I know many people hate Android since this is an Apple forum, but I really think Android has gotten the UI right, It's pretty much all flat apart from the icons, little to no gradients, but they've done it without bringing in the bright colors and over-saturated gradients.

My buddy just got his tracking number. He order at :02 and I ordered at :05...ughhhhh! I

There is a lot more this phone could have added. Larger battery and better camera being the most obvious. And of course having a water and dust resistant phone would be amazing.

Won't disagree with that. I'm all for a larger battery and better camera. Verdict is still out on those, it seems.

As for water and dust resistant, sure, but again... look at the compromises that might entail. Have you seen the unlocked price of an Xperia Z or Z1? Have you seen the type of screens they have? Or the bulk/size?

But it is saying something about Android phones that we're expecting these sort of niche features versus the next iPhone praying for the love of god to have a larger screen. I think that says a lot, in fact.

I guess the verdict is still out. Maybe the folks over at the Verge don't know how to take a picture. Or something.

My point was that it is an average upgrade. There are quite a few things they still could have added. It is quite similar to an S3 to S4 upgrade.

Everyone is talking about bad cameras and such... How bad could it be?

I'm still on an iPhone 4. I assume a Nexus 5 would be a quite considerable jump in terms of picture quality?

Nexus 5

You left out the most important word. Ha. They don't look ____ at all?!

I think he meant to put "bad" there. Because those photos looked fantastic to my eyes.

I'm slightly regretting not buying one but I want to use my $150 in best buy credits and have no risk of restocking fee. I haven't been able to confirm whether or not google still does this.

Edit- also no shipping costs

I'm still looking and cant find anyone who's confirmed or denied it.

It was listed in the service manual and shown at the bottom of the phone.

The Nexus 5's photo makes the sunlight outside a little too bright compared to the 5s. Still the Nexus 5's camera looks good.

On the nexus 5 pic you can't even see the detail of what's outside, it is definitely blown out. But the good news is, it will definitely be better than the N4

Well you guys...

Im extremely disappointed with 4.4.

Many improvements under the hood, yes, but not much to the end user. And 4.3 didn't bring any new features also, just more under the hood improvements.

I expect the battery of the Nexus 5 to be slightly better than the one in the Nexus 4.

Im gonna wait and buy a top smartphone from next year. Probably HTC One 2 if they include a better camera.

Seriously now... how can anyone be excited about 4.4?? Screen recording? Full screen mode? By the way, this ONLY works in videos, games and books app from what I've read. There's an API, but with stock google apps it wont work.

The iPhone on the other hand has everything darkened inside. Well if he had focused on the outdoors with the N5, it wouldn't have come this overexposed.
