Based on this PPI calculator, the Prime would have 315ppi. Thats very good, for a screen that size to have such a high ppi.
Display size: 4.05" × 2.28" (10.29cm × 5.79cm) = 315.83 PPI, 0.0804mm dot pitch, 99748 PPI²

contoured display because its easier to hold when on the phone, gives a more natural grip.
also, it won't look as long if you contour the whole phone.
also, when on the phone, it fits better alongside your ear.

What version of Android are you running?
I assume you're using Exchange email since you got TouchDown.
2.3 has native support for Exchange as well as IMAP and POP clients.

Not pretty though and it ONLY does email.
From everything I've read, TouchDown is still the best for Exchange users.
I know Motorola gave out free TouchDown licenses to Droid owners.
Android still uses software acceleration for graphics. Even 3.x for the tablets does.
ICS is supposed to move to hardware acceleration. That should take care of the choppiness.
Hate to break it to you. The A5 and iOS 5 support hardware acceleration, espicially the GPU.
I am a software developer, this is old news. Ios 5 with the A5 already supports hardware acceleration.

I pointed out already pixels dont' make a better camera. You know what apple did with the camera hardware wise. They did alot more than add more MP. All things being equal if the nexus price has added the same amount of hardware which to this point I doubt the iphone 4s camera will be better.

SGSII is much more fluid than your iPhone 4. It already has (as did the original Galaxy) hardware acceleration of GUI implemented by Samsung.

HD was never about pixel density. By your definition we still do not have HD TV sets. It's all about the pixel number and yes Samsung prime will be the first phone with HD screen.
iPhone 4 beats any Android phone? In what sense? The lowest number of CPU cores? The smallest amount of RAM? The lowest CPU performance? The lowest camera resolution? It does indeed do all this.
My SG2 still can't tap to zoom nearly as well as my iPhone in the browser. Drives me crazy
Your are probably confusing two things here. In Android, unlike the iOS, the browser re-formats the text when zooming. It may look less fluid but it's much more convenient as it requires much less zooming from the user to read.

Of course it has more pixels, its a MUCH larger screen. You expect them to have a high PPI with the same amount of pixels as a screen over an inch smaller?
Just to clear this up, Google has delayed Hardware Acceleration to Jelly Bean. From there it'll probably get delayed again.
Android users cant catch a break on the HGA. So ICS will be just as laggy as any other Android version. Maybe more so.
Once again, HD has nothing to do with PPI. One can have 1 inch size screen with huge PPI, would you like it?

Anandtech benchmarked A5 in iPad. iPhone 4S is getting a different version of A5. We have yet to see how good it is.
A great camera, higher megapixels does not make. If this is a top of the line 5mp back lit sensor and bigger sensor with improved optics, it could be on par or better than the new 8mp in the iP4s. Look at the camera in the MyTouch 4G. It's 8mp but it absolutely blows away any other 8mp phone cam including the one on the SGSII. It actually rivals a point and shoot. This 5mp could be the same.
Agreed. There is no way I want a 4.6" phone screen. 4" is pretty much the limit for me to comfortably use one handed, though I could probably deal with a 4.3". 4.5"+? No way. That's a "use two handed all the time" phone, and I really don't want that. It'd be great for media consumption and web browsing, but for everyday tasks, it'd just be too cumbersome.
Where did you get that info? In the keynote they clearly said the same A5 chip thats in the iPad 2.
If you could put iOS 5 on there, I'd buy it. I don't buy phones strictly based on specs, like the typical Android fanboy. I buy it based on what it can help me do, how easy it is to use, the quality of the phone and the apps, and the quality of the OS. There's simply no comparison between Android apps and iOS apps.
So basically the only thing that has on the iphone4S is the screen size. I would bet the iphone camera is better, shoots the same video, NFC wont be mainstream for 2 years, the Proc and memory are null considering iOS will always run smoother than Android. Not sure that its much better than the iphone.
This pathetic now....apple sell could a motorola 4800x transportable and the fanboys on here would still buy it and say its better than any phone ever......
