The Jets have the number one defense, number one offensive rushing team and have a lock down corner in Revis..If Sanchez materializes into a somewhat decent, consistent QB,they have the potential to go deep in the playoffs the next few years. They definitely should make a run at the AFCE the next few years.

We could've won the East this year if we didn't lose 5 games in which we definitely should've won.

Or, they end up a bust just like every other "defensive guru straight out of Baltimore's" team. (Marv Lewis, Jack Del Rio ring any bells?)

No doubt. I'm very high on them with their roster. Still think we need a big time receiver (Don't think Edwards fits the bill). When Schottenheimer keeps a tight rein on Sanchez, he looks quite good.

That said, I don't think I'll be wiping any crap off TDD. :D

Umm,yeah, the names ring a bell. Thanks for reminding me tho..Bitter against ex Raven's coordinators much?Nature of the business..

He's making typical rookie mistakes..Solid running game will help him for sure as he develops..We'll see how the draft goes for them..

Wow. Rough weekend for me.

Eagles. Broncos. 2x Flyers. USA vs. Canada in the juniors...

Ugh.

At least USA beat Sweden and gets a 2nd chance.

On football, I'm really glad they didn't televise that Eagles game here. I would have needed to buy a new TV. I can only assume that the Eagles will go ahead and roll over on Saturday now. What a disaster.

And then on the AFC side of the house, I wonder if the Broncos are just going to forfeit 2010. Cutler gone, Marshall going, Scheffler going, half the defense played as if they were sitting in lawn chairs... This team is in bad shape.

And there are games when our Defense straight up blew it.

The Jets should be, at minimum, an 11 win team this year.

well, defense is a rather large part of the game I think

I'm telling you all now, don't underestimate the pack. Rodgers and Grant have been playing like they have somethng to prove and the O-line has really improved. I just wish they could get Kampman back for the playoffs

Shanahan could be introduced Tuesday

Mike Shanahan is expected to be named head coach of the Redskins, according to sources in the organization, and, barring unforeseen glitches, will likely be introduced in a news conference Tuesday.

You can bet Shanahan's first words to Snyder after he said "Okay, I'll do it.." were "but you stay away from my team."
I thought he would have made a better fit in Dallas, but let's see how this plays out.

Haha, the Seahawks fired Jim Mora after one season. Who knew he'd be the only one-and-done coach with the likes of Steve Spagnuolo, Eric Mangini, Todd Haley, and Raheem Morris battling it out for the #1 draft pick in the final weeks of the season?

They're trying to get Pete Carroll to replace him. If Carroll knows what's good for him he'll stay at USC :-\

Done deal..He's the Seahawk's new HC..Hopefully he learned from his stint as HC in the NFL..The "Tickle Me Pete" approach doesn't work in the NFL.

^^ good for him, one of the greatest QB of our generation.

sad news, my gmen got the wrong manning. :(

Jets can bask in their glory, at least for another week. Good for them.

As for the Cowboys, it's not if they will win, buy by how much imho. This could be their year as they are looking very good right now, at least on the NFC side. The Eagles, with just 3:39 left in second quarter has McNabb with just 2 yards passing. What the heck?

Well, congratulations to the Cowboys.

They came prepared and healthy. The Eagles are watching. For the second week in a row.

I don't think this is all McNabb's fault, when all night long he is being trampled by the Cowboys' D-line. He has almost zero time. Even when he gets the pass away, he's hit. Contrast this with Romo. Romo could be sitting in a lawn chair. He completes a pass and then gets to watch it happen. No pressure at all.

Good riddance to this season.

Why is Bob Costas doing football? He's had a love affair with baseball his whole life and now all of a sudden he's an NFL "analyst/expert"
