Awesome! Already purchasing and will leave a UK review for you on appstore :)
Thanks!!!

I'm thinking of some new possible themes for Nightstand Weather Clock, and I'm wondering if some people could suggest a few.

Here's one I was fooling around with (attached). I know that it's a bit angular, but I like it in a way. Obviously, if I include it, it will be an option, not a default.

Any other ideas? Thanks a lot!

Since my last post, several new updates have been released, adding several great new features. See my original post for more info, which I updated. There's also a free version available now.

Also, my app's starting to see some success in the App Store:) I'm up to number 11 in paid productivity apps (US) and the free version is doing well also.

Thanks again for all your support!

Version 2.5 is now available, and adds support for a new theme, Angular Black.

Many more updates are still planned.

Here are a few screenshots of the new theme option:

That's not bad at all.

I like the app alot but it keeps crashing on me. In particular, when I go to Timer, click on Sound and then 'Add Music from Library'. As soon as I tap 'Add Music...', it crashes every time.

It was doing it on the old version and the new one that was just released.

Try reinstalling the app. That should fix the problem. I am however aware of the situations that can cause this, and will be releasing a fix soon.

Is it possible to add some type of notification on the screen if you get an email or something? Is that allowed under the iPhone SDK?

It would be cool to have the program running, and if I get a couple emails, I can just look at the screen and see... again, maybe not possible with the current SDK limitations.

I don't think that this is possible. App Store apps are sandboxed, and generally, I as a developer do not have access to resources outside of my app, such as the database of emails.

Sorry.

It's been a while since my last post, but in that time, I've released several great new updates, adding many new features.

First of all, and most useful, I think, is the ability to paste multiple photos into the wallpaper list at once. This really helps if you want to add a lot of images quickly.

Another feature that has been added is more detailed weather information, available by touching the weather icon on the main screen

There's now a Progressive Snooze setting, which if enabled, forces you to get up eventually by gradually shortening the snooze time each time you hit the button

Requested by many, there's now an option to show the next alarm time on the main clock screen.

I've also expanded the language localizations and fixed bugs as they've come up in the past few weeks.

Thanks for all of your continued support! The best enhancements are yet to come :)

I just wanted to share that Nightstand Weather Clock has been selected as a Staff Favorite for the US App Store!

Also, there should be a new update due soon, to v2.11, which will, among other things, add support for GPS auto-location.

Two things to update you guys about:

First of all, version 2.12 was approved about a week ago, and adds some nice features. Here are a couple of the bigger improvements:

-Users can now edit saved alarm playlists. Reorder, delete, and add new songs individually, or simply delete an entire playlist
-You can now shake your device to snooze the currently sounding alarm
-Launching app no longer stops music playback!
-Improved battery life, especially if the device is asleep (with the app left running)
-Snooze and Stop alarm buttons now look nicer

I'd also like to announce that an iPad version will be available pretty soon. I have some screenshots to share, and I'd love to get your feedback. I've attached them to this post.

Not got an iPad but it looks every bit as good as I would expect from you. Hope it does well for you.

Nightstand Central version 3.0 is now available, with more improvements than I can count. Here's a few of the new features:

-Slick new icon, and name changed to Nightstand Central
-Fully takes advantage of your iPhone 4 or iPod touch 4's Retina Display
-iOS 4 fast app switching and background alarm notifications added
-Flashlight (shake to toggle) now supports your iPhone 4's LED Flash (be aware that extended use of your device's flash may drain its battery)
-More than 20 completely new HD Wallpapers

-Rename Music Alarm and Sleep Timer playlists
-New Stop and Snooze alarm buttons - much bigger and easier to press while your groggy in the morning
-Easily adjust the size and position of the clock and weather display - just tap the main screen with two fingers to bring up the controls
-More intuitive user interface
-Pandora, iPod, and similar apps keep playing when you launch Nightstand Central
-Better weather forecast view
-Better photo change animations
-Much faster Auto-Location and weather updating

Nightstand Central also fixes several annoying bugs:

-Fixed user photo stretching bug
-Fixed incorrect next alarm time label bug
-White Noise sounds are more continuous sounding
-Much has been completely rewritten.

If you like the new improvements, it'd be really nice if you would take a minute to leave a review in the App Store.

Also, there's a new share on Facebook option within the app. If you'd like to tell a few of your friends about Nightstand Central, I'd really appreciate it.

Or try the free version here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/night...358044367?mt=8

Also, an iPad version should be coming really soon. It's currently in review at Apple. For more info, visit my website, http://thomashuntington.com/iOS/Nightstand_Central.html

After only three or four days on the App Store, the free version of Nightstand Central for iPad is already the most downloaded free app for iPad (overall)!

This is beyond my wildest dreams!

My wife had a single alarm set for 7.15am yesterday, closed the app, the alarm went off at 7.15, she hit snooze but it never went off again after this - can I blame the wife??? ;)
