With or without the Logitech software? It works fine, albeit 1992 fine, on a Mac without installing the software, but with the software the flywheel makes sense.
I didn't install Logitech software. Smooth scrolling works just fine.

Apple has never made a mousse, period.Apple has never made a mousse that was not an ergonomic nightmare
I know all of those settings, and they work fine with any other mouse, but not the Magic Mouse. The iPhone actually refuses to see it.I think you can…

Interesting. For me the difference was like scrolling on an iPad with and without ProMotion. But I was using Sonoma when I last I used the MX mouse on my Mac. Glad you have smooth scrolling. Enjoy.I didn't install Logitech software. Smooth scrolling works just fine.
I’ve been using this one for the past ~17 years (never found an adequate replacement) and it looks quite sleek:Good mice don't look sleek because our hands aren't sleek
Must be heavy to move around.Tim uses a mouse?
How plebeian.
Tim has people for that.
I was getting wrist pain from the HORRIBLE Apple Magic Mouse. I got a MX Master 3 and life has be GREAT ever since. Mac mouse design has been a joke from the original Mac onward.
While the Logitech MX Master 3 is a terrific mouse for the Mac, reports claiming that Apple CEO Tim Cook prefers that mouse over the Magic Mouse are false.

The Wall Street Journal last month published an interview with Cook, in which he said he uses every Apple product every day. Soon after, The Verge's Wes Davis attempted to replicate using every Apple product in a single day. During that day, Davis said he mostly used the MX Master 3, but sometimes switched to a Magic Mouse or Magic Trackpad.
In other words, it was Davis who said he himself used a Logitech mouse, not Cook.
Unfortunately, The Mac Observer misinterpreted The Verge's article and ran a since-deleted story claiming that Cook prefers the MX Master 3 over the Magic Mouse. Mistakes happen, but the false claim has since gained traction on Reddit multiple times, so hopefully this helps to clear up the situation before wrong information continues to spread.
It would be great if Cook did use the MX Master 3, though. Maybe he would love using a mouse with a front-facing USB-C port so much that he would make the Magic Mouse's port finally not be on the bottom. Hey, we can dream!

Yeah cause with my Logitech I can just replace the AAs that last for 3 years and I’m done. Seriously, they last that long!I mostly use the Magic Trackpad (or the trackpad on my MBP when I'm away from home so I don't really have a horse in this race, but a) the Magic Mouse is fine once you learn the gestures, which takes about a minute, and b) the charging port being on the bottom of the Magic Mouse is a non-issue that only people with small minds would take the time to complain about.
When you get the first message on-screen that the Magic Mouse battery is running low:
a. Make a mental note of this
b. Carry on as you were.
c. When you're done for the day, plug the Magic Mouse in to charge.
d. Go to bed when you normally do.
e. The next morning when you get up, unplug the Magic Mouse, and use normally for another 6-12 weeks.
Is this really that hard/inconvenient? Seriously?
I did and returned it. Might work with Intel but not with M-series.Maybe you should try one before saying such a thing
Someone has been on the weed…Magic Mouse FTW \o/
Sure, if you want to forego programming it. I installed the Logitech crapware just long enough to save the settings I wanted on my G305 to its onboard memory, and then promptly trashed the whole mess. It's nasty software, but AFAIK there's not much getting around using it at least temporarily if you want to program buttons and set DPI presets and whatnot. No one forces you to install software to use a Logitech product.
I use the MX Anywhere 3S and scrolling seems to work fine. On iPadOS it's pretty bad though: scrolling has a weird acceleration just like when you swipe with your finger repeatedly to scroll long content faster; and it also keeps the inertia, which is great with a trackpad but less great with a mouse.Too bad Logitech mouse doesnt work on Mac OS. It doesnt master the smooth scrolling.
I've bought a standard Logitech mouse just for transitioning to the new Mac Mini M4 and boy did I miss the Magic Mouse.
MX works fine with M-series.I did and returned it. Might work with Intel but not with M-series.
Because he’s transitioningWhy not use the Magic Mouse with the mini?
It does indeedMX works fine with M-series.
