I see some improvement in the iPhone 7, but the drawback (lack of headphone jack) is just too much for me.

That is, the lack of headphone jack is too disruptive for my routines.

First is the lack of ability of listen to charge the phone and listen to the music at the same time.

I often go to the library before the midterms and finals and study while listening to music/charging my phone.

I also go to the gym everyday and run on the treadmills, do the elliptical, etc all the while listening to the music and charging the phone.

The solution, according to carry this around with me:

Second is the lack of the 3.5mm headphone jack itself.

On Friday and Saturday night, I often goes to friends' house for parties.

Wouldn't it be great if I would connect my phone to their audio system and play some music?

Oh, woops! I can't because I didn't bring the Lightning Dock.

Now, I need to run back and get it.

The removal of the 3.5mm jack isn't a huge deal to me but I would have liked to see it stay. Wireless is great of course. I don't use headphones ever so it's not headphones. I sometimes listen to music in my vehicle from my iPhone. I don't have a Bluetooth enabled vehicle (2007 Yukon XL SLT) if it were a couple years newer it would be. So I have a wire that I used to plug into the phone and to the aux port. I have a Bluetooth receiver for my vehicle but it's either got to be plugged in or rely on a battery. So that is essentially more wires. In my mancave I have a Bluetooth receiver that uses a battery or can be plugged in. Well...just the other day the battery died and I didn't have a USB charger handy so I unplugged it and plugged the stereo into my phone. Won't be able to do that anymore. Well you can but I know my little lightning to 3.5mm dongle won't always be there when I need it.

So in the end I'm not enraged that the jack is gone. But I wouldn't mind it being there still.

Why are there so many threads discussion colors of the iPhone?

Is one not sufficient?
Yeahhhh but there wasn't a very vocal outrage over it that's been beaten to absolute death over it. Colors? Pretty light hearted topic anyway. The "I don't like the lack of headphone jack"? Ohhhhh man. The news coverage. The media. The posts on every tech website imaginable complaining about this very same thing.

Yeah. Listen man. I respect your opinion. But you should understand this topic needs a rest for a lot of people.

I dont mine removing old 3.5mm but i wish it was not only for lightening which is apple only

Just for the sake of conversation, why haven't you gone over to Bluetooth? I refused to even try it for the longest time and over the past year have bought 3 pairs of headphones because I'm loving this transition so much. The parrot zik 2's sound better than my wired headphones with additional features. I also have a pair of workout headphones called the jaybird freedoms and they are absolutely amazing.

If you have wired headphones connected to a iphone WHILE it is charging... you aren't running brah, you are walking briskly.

If you have wired headphones at all, you are probably just jogging.

Why? Am I not allow to run on a treadmill while listening to music and charging?

If you're the type to go to the gym, how you still have wired headphones is beyond me. Wires are the most miserable thing ever for running on the treadmill.

I go to the gym most days and while I do use a bluetooth headset. Many just put the phone in their pocket or on the base in front of them with the tv, etc.. The days I forget my bt at home I always have a spare wired in the car. a cable is really not that big of a deal.

Wow... I guess you will NEVER own an iPhone again. Don't worry.... in a few years you will look back at your attitude about all this and realize how foolish you sound.

Nah. I'll probably be fine using a non-Apple smartphone.

I don't know man. Maybe it's just because I'm so used to having Bluetooth now but I brought my old EarPods to the gym yesterday and used it on the treadmill and having the cord flopping all over the place was the most annoying thing ever. Having Bluetooth has been liberating

And what will you do when Android manufacturers remove it? Motorola already started on the Moto Z. Samsung copies everything that Apple does... so you can bet the next in the Galaxy line will do the same...
I am not going to speculate on what Samsung is going to do.
