So you're at the gym for so many hours that it runs down your phones battery to zero???? So you have no possible way to charge it somewhere else after your workout??I plug the USB end of the cable into the treadmill.

If you're the type to go to the gym, how you still have wired headphones is beyond me. Wires are the most miserable thing ever for running on the treadmill.
So, you're basically saying that you're probably never gonna buy an iPhone again? Because that jack is surely gone for good. Well, okay. Have fun with Android then, I guess.![]()
I might have to look into the Galaxy Note 7 after the recall is done.
Exactly. No matter how careful you are, you end up catching that wire with your hand.
Also, not sure how accessible the power outlets are near treadmills and ellipticals in a gym.
You do that.

Second is the lack of the 3.5mm headphone jack itself.
On Friday and Saturday night, I often goes to friends' house for parties.
Wouldn't it be great if I would connect my phone to their audio system and play some music?
Oh, woops! I can't because I didn't bring the Lightning Dock.
Now, I need to run back and get it.
That will be fine for a year or 2 at most until Samsung and others also remove the jack.I might have to look into the Galaxy Note 7 after the recall is done.
Where did you get this statistics from? Your ***?So you want apple to mass produce millions of phone that will cater to the 0.000000001% of people who MUST be able to charge their phone and listen to wired headphones while running on a treadmill. You got it dude!
Nah. It does a pretty good job of staying in ear.

To express my disapproval.Okay. I still don't get why you feel that urge to write so many postings about not liking the removal of the headphone jack instead of just buying another phone and/or staying with your previous iPhone? It's not like you'd be forced to buy one after all...
Did you shake your fists at the sky and say "damn you Apple. Damn youuuuuu" like an old man?To express my disapproval.

And on that topic, I have a few pairs of Bluetooth headphones. One that cost $400. One workout pair of jaybirds that were recently $200 and a pair I bought for my girlfriend that cost $30. The pair I bought for only $30 sound as good as my jaybirds. Craziest thing. So the barrier to good sounding audio on Bluetooth isn't high. If you can buy an expensive phone, you can afford good sound.wireless headphones. Problem solved. I got some cheap ones more than a year ago for when I run. They sound great. No issues.
Bluetooth sounds worse and a splitter just adds an inconvenience. All of these issues can be solved with Bluetooth headphones and/or a Lightning splitter.
Samsung will surely follow in Apple's footsteps. We're talking about that same company that made fun of Apple in their TV commercials for putting the headphone jack on the bottom of the device and then decided to do the same.
