I’m looking forward to iPhoneProMaxOS 26. Or is it iPhoneProMax26OS?I like it! They should also renamed `iOS` to `iPhoneOS` to be consistent with OS names!

Interesting the different experiences of everyone. Personally iOS 18 has worked fine for me. A couple bugs until the first minor release for me. Overall, much better than the best Windows version. But I know everyone has a different mix of what they use reflecting their impressions.
So that it doesn’t already look obsolete when 26.3 is released. Why 26 and not 25? Serious question
Possibly, but it does make some sense to link the OS update number to the year it was available. If it is a trick by Apple to identify a leak, it was a clever one that from a logical perspective could be something Apple might do at some point in the future. This is 100% a bogus leak to burn a source.
why do you think it'll be 26.3 and not 26 the 3rd? why not change everything? So that it doesn’t already look obsolete when 26.3 is released.
Wouldn’t really make a difference? Maybe they’ll go for 26 SP2.why do you think it'll be 26.3 and not 26 the 3rd? why not change everything?![]()
iOS 26 would be available for nine months in 2026 and only three months in 2025 so from that perspective it does check out.iOS 26 released in 2025, checks out.
I know there is a market in China where you can buy an iPhone 25 new in sealed box with 8K screen and 200 MP 100x Super Zoom. It does run Android 10, however. Is there a chance I’ll be upgrading to a 26 Pro and not a 17 Pro this year?
that could very well be, didn't Gurman himself say something about Apple to be more secretive going forward? This is 100% a bogus leak to burn a source.
So you have a source giving you info to know that? This is 100% a bogus leak to burn a source.
Car companies do this too, and probably others. So they're basically copying Samsung and Microsoft with hardware and Windows, respectively.
Who cares, all of us will be dead by thenWhat follows xOS99 though? xOS100 or xOS00? Y2K all over again!
But they really should do this with the iPhone, iPad, etc.
iPhone (2026), iPhone Pro (2026), and so on…
Yeah, if this is true, it would definitely help.Initial shock out of the way, I do hope this rumor is true just to get macOS caught up. Things like "Requires iOS 18, iPadOS 18, or macOS 15" are confusing to me sometimes, let alone for someone who doesn't keep track.
