It's not about the hardware. It's about the biggest interface change since multitouch: talk to your phone.

Why Covent Garden?
Why is the UK the only place getting a live stream

probably to allow EU journalists to attend/report on the event without having to fly to north america.

.

Well, this pretty much confirms that the iPhone 5 will have to wait until next year. Hopefully it will be early in the year, instead of waiting this late.

I just hope Apple can justify the wait with what it has to offer on the software side.

Cause Europe is a big market too for them. I guess.
And the U.K. is the only native speaking English country in Europe. I guess
Would you like it to be in Brussels then,or in Athens

I own an LTE Mifi and can tell you that without a doubt LTE is not overrated. The speeds are great, I get around 10mbps in the Dallas area.

I get 8 to 12 in Boston.
My sister works for Verizon and recommended mifi. I went with the iPad data service. After a week of dismal speeds the plan was switched to a mifi plan.
Now the iPad is getting excellent speeds everywhere I go it's like having my home network in my pocket.

Why? So you have to take out your ear buds, or jog the volume rocker down if someone talks to you while you're listening to music? It saves you from having to unlock, look at screen, and pause too. Actually, if they made it a mute/pause button, that would be nice.

You can pause and change volume with the controls on the ear bud cord. You can pause, skip a track, skip back a track, change volume etc.

I couldn't care less about LTE, let alone WiMax.

+1. WiMax is terrible. My parents had that for the internet service and it was atrociously bad. It cuts out all the time. I'm so glad they are avoiding WiMax all together. Hopefully. They seem to have contrariness about them at times.

No WiMax, no LTE, no thank you. I'll stay with my Android until I can get a phone on a network that doesn't feel like Dial-Up.

LTE and WiMax are overrated anyways, who cares? I want to know what shape will it be??????

Really? I routinely get downloads of 14-17 mg/p/s with my Verizon 4G/LTE hotspot, about 8 times faster than 3G.

4G certainly would have been a nice addition alongside the iPhone 4S, despite that at least the much quicker processor and download speeds partly make up for lack of LTE.

you wouldn't want the first generation of LTE chips in the 4S. Tests on prototype shows extremely poor battery life on some LTE handsets. Battery life could be less than 8hours.
