My 32gb isn't selling either. Last year and the year before I sold my iphones AFTER the new ones came out and I got tons of offers and still ended up selling them for $450 or more. This time around though it's a ghost town. I think it's a combination of: 1) Apple just isn't as popular anymore with the onslaught of Android phones, 2) the 5C is cheap enough where people are biting at it instead of a year old 5.

I'll still buy something cash, I'm still undecided between the 5s and the Note 3, but I'll probably just give my phone to one of my little cousins or something.

Update, sold my phone today for $450, for some reason this weekend I got over a dozen emails and sold it in a couple of hours. Just be patient, I think there are a lot of buyers who see last years 5 as the same exact phone as what is being released Friday, but $350-$400 cheaper.

I'm talking Craigslist straight cash prices. eBay will almost always get you more than Craigslist.

Even with eBay's cut? I know everyone worries about getting ripped off on CL, but a little bit of common sense and I've never felt the least bit worried, where with ebay, paypal and scammers ebay definitely makes me feel much more at risk.

ebay it or only use paypal via Craigs List. too many scammers..one guy gave me counterfeit money!

1. eBay sucks

2. PayPal isn't reliable if ur the seller.

3. CL has no fees

CL is by far the best way to sell. With a little knowledge and a bit of common sense it's easy to see scammers from a mile away. I've sold a ton of things on CL and NEVER had a single issue. I establish a dialect with the person interested, we set up a final price, and we meet in a public place. We meet, he hands me money, I hand him product, we both check it out, shake hands and away we go. Simple.

I use both. Buy on CL and sell on ebay. Easy money

And might I add to all sellers meet at a police station!!!

I was selling my iPhone 5 64gb white plus AppleCare. And we met at a carls jr.
He lifted up his shirt enough to show me that he had a gun and took of running with the iPhone "and I wiped find my iPhone from it because I was selling it" so i recommend now police station only!!!

Wow. I always carry a loaded 9 when I meet up. Police station parking lot is smart.

eBay....or several of the iPhone buy back sites will get u well over 200.00....well over 300 in most cases...

No guns in UK

Ha. My state requires no such thing. You can carry open or concealed. I just put it in a plastic holster on my hips like the cops do.

From a UK perspective... Had to jump through hoops to get a fire arms certificate. Buy a gun safe bolted to a none wood wall. Not allowed to transport loaded. I lived about 12 miles outside Manchesters drug ridden Moss Side area.
Everytime there was a shooting...I expected the police at the door asking to see my weapon, the safe, and ammo log and receipts.
In the end I went to local police station to hand the certificate back. A desk pilot said i had to apply for a cancellation. I threw the certificate on his desk, said, I have your badge number...and walked out. Never heard anything about it after.
Guns " in transit" only allowed outside its safe when travelling to a gun club meeting night! Later after a mass killing in a Scottish school, The government banned all private owned guns outside official gun clubs.
The bandits kept theirs!

I can't manage to sell my iPhone 5 16gb at cl all the offers I am receiving are for $300. How did you guys sell your phones?

I'll give you $160 cash. Now that it has dropped so low in value, You should jump on that $300 dollar offer before it's too late.

That is ridiculous ! Glad I don't live there.

All these rules about guns....the law-abiding people follow them....the thugs could care less....making thugs better armed and have less resistance from the law-abiding guy with 4 locks on his gun, in a fire-proof safe, attached to the north wall-concrete or course, safe locked by dual retina scan.....since it is a Mac forum you can insert fingerprint scan) technology..

The common recommendation is to meet in a bank lobby. IMO that makes a lot more sense and is a lot easier to arrange than a police station.

Unfortunately I think the iPhone is losing its popularity- there are just way too many other different phones out now.

I am sorry bro, similar thing happened when I recently went to sell a sealed ipad mini 32gb.

You always think after the fact would the dude be stupid enough to pull a gun in public over a 400-500$ item? but I guess it was meant to be and whatever cause I thought so many different scenarios
