Well killing myself is not an option. 🙂 But after waiting since last summer to switch to mac and see no update it's painful to say the least. With me are a few friends who waited to switch. Today apple failed to get a few more users...
Guess I'm no exception on the forum; I've been waiting for a MBP update ever since I don't know when (didn't have the money when they implemented the SR chipset) and am quite disappointed so far.
Basically, what I need is a good laptop that can perform like a desktop. I work with OpenGL for experiments - the Intel GPU is just not an option. I won't be lugging it around too much, except for when I go to a conference or seminar, so I'm not really excited about weight (has anyone noticed the trade-off between weight and size? yes - the laptop is thin, but it still has a 13" screen).
With the possibility of the new intel chips I'm gonna wait still. But hey, they can't hold off an update forever, can they? So it's either wait for an update of buy a refurb for a nice price (although with the prices they're selling those refurbs for, I can get a new one with higher education discount).
All in all: Not a very happy bunny. Not a happy bunny at all. 😡

yah, I am pretty upset. This is my third semester as a Graphic Designer in College, and they require me to get a MAC this semester. I was waiting till the MBP updates. Rumors at AppleInsider says they are updating the Macbooks as early as tomorrow. But I thought they would update Macbook Pro's first. But I wouldn't be surprised if they speed bumped the MBP's tomorrow. I've waited too long and I'm sick of it. This would of been my FIRST MAC ever. I am currently a PC user and want to switch to MAC. Man.. I can't tell you how angry I am.. like I really can't wait any longer.. I pretty much only have till 2 more weeks to make up my mind. But I want one now. I'm also from Canada so its gonna take even longer to ship cause stores get it like a month after the US gets it... **** MAN

At lease that wasn't ignorant. I expect no case redesign to come out of this, just a price drop, proc. bump, gpu bump, or any combination of those.
I'll get the first round.
