There is no issue with the iPhone 7. Those are readily available.
The shortage is only with the hissing iPhone 7 Plus.
Update: Picked up a 256gb Black 7 Plus two days ago. PERFECT, no problems, no hissing, no lag, nothing.
So if its just a supply shortage for the 7 plus and not the 7 then it cant be because of correcting quality problems as both models are having the same issues
I just got the 128 GB Matte Black 7+ at my local Verizon retailer! Walked in returning my 7 to attempt to get a 7+ a couple hours away from me and I happened to walk in when they were being delivered the one I got! They said I should go buy a lottery ticket! Lol
It's crazy though that I was able to get one when pre-orders still have not been filled. You would think pre-orders would be first priority.
when it comes to store stock, store pre-orders should get priority first.
Beginning to think the jet black iPhone 7+ isn't real but some sort of sick April Fool's joke from Apple.

Kind of retarded that a multi-billion dollar company can't even stock their products.
It's been like this for a long time now. It is frustrating and causes problems for customers and does lose them some business. They could have had my husband's friend's purchase on a IPhone 7 Plus after he had to return the Note 7. But he was told there would be no stock until end of the year. So he has to go with something else. My husband ended up going with a Surface when the Apple laptop he wanted for a business trip was still be found anywhere even a couple of months after it was launched.
They probably do this on purpose to make it seam like it's the hottest thing ever. And we know it's not going to do anything that great anyways.
I saw that too and I just called and tried to reserve it at either store and they told me they didn't have it in stock. The woman told me that there wasn't one within 400 miles of me.
