I went to the Apple Store on Friday and told them I wanted to order a phone for the Iphone every year program. I was told my best bet would be to just keep watching when they had them available. The girl told me to check between 10am and 11am because that's when they got stock in. But it seems like they update their stock the night before. I haven't seen a 7+ in black (ATT or T-mobile) at either of the stores in Kansas City in a week or so.

Do you mean an ATT user can purchase a T-Mobile? or an ATT can user can purchase any model (including Verizon/Sprint)?
It's not helping with the Note 7 being recalled and many of those people now looking for iPhones as well.
If you have at&t or T-Mobile you can buy any model and it'll work perfectly.
Apple is having quality issues with the 7+ and they're addressing it. At least that's what I think. There's a lot of variance in user experience on these forums, and that's not a good sign.
Well, this forum is a pretty tiny sample size of the world's iPhone users. A quality issue could very well be the reason, but the lack of stock could just point to supply chain shortages.
Yup, this. I'm curious as to how they knew they would have these issues though. With what Samsung is going through, I'm starting to believe Apple releases hardware that fails QA as often as Samsung. They just are much smarter about getting essential components like thermal regulation down. Thing is, we know apple iterates on their devices, but this is on another level. I can pick up any 7 JB without reservations but there is literally one store in the world with a 128GB silver 7 plus. I'm just antsy at this point, lol.

I don't think its quality issues. It might be supply chain issues but why haven any stories leaked out somewhere. It is strange because its the same with the watches. Hardly any anywhere in the world at the retail stores and online orders seem to be set at 3-4 weeks for most models.
Stock seems to be more readily available at third party supplier than through Apple which is very odd
Truth. I'm jumping on the "Apple is fixing an issue" bandwagon. I won't mind waiting IF that was the case.
Hissing fix is my best guess.
