So what is this new iPhone actually gonna have.... Don't say LTE cause thats no use for me in England.

Slightly bigger screen
Maybe a tiny bit better camera
Some slight speed improvements

That's gonna look great on the website!

I hope Apple pulls something super amazing out cause I'm starting to use my S3 more and more...

you forgot the improved 1440 mAh battery.

I'm confused. As recently as yesterday, folks here were touting how Apple was going to revolutionize the world with NFC.

Now all I read is "no big deal".

What's up with that?

how is he trolling? I agree with him. Am I a troll too? Is everyone a troll who doesnt agree with you?

You agree that "everyone" here wanted nfc, and now that it may not be there "everyone"here is rationalizing?

If so, even though only two of you have said so in this thread, "everyone" here who doesn't support Apple is a troll. See how that works? If you're generalizing millions of users based on a few, that's insulting and trolling. Please provide examples of five Ppl who have Flip flopped. You'll have a tough time because you're generalizing everyone. Chances are the people who are rationalizing now are not the same people who were excited before. Since "everyone" does it, finding five should be a piece of cake, right?

Why do people say there will be so few upgrades about this iPhone? This could be a bigger update than 3GS > 4, it will at least be the second biggest update.
Obvious upgrades:
Bigger screen, thinner, faster, LTE.

Possible and/or highly likely upgrades:
Quad-core A6 1GB RAM, increased graphics capabilities, better front and rear camera, better microphone, lighter (bigger screen yes, but the metal back could be very much lighter than glass, and it is thinner), stronger screen (in terms of break and scratch resistance).

What a load of junk.... I wait for the day when Apple surprises us again with something revolutionary relating to the iPhone.

NFC may not be big in the US yet - It will be coming for sure, but in Canada every major chain has a NFC terminal next to the credit card chip reader.... just wave your Visa/MC above it and payment is done. Nothing else required.

No no no, you got it all wrong. Apple will implement it like no one else has ever seen, then they will patent NFC, and sue all phones and tablets with NFC capability.

They didn't want to get sued by Google. They patented that already.

I agree as sad as it is, apple is the only one that can bring it to the us, so it's a littlle disappointing it's not included.

I think that Apple will play it safe with the iPhone. A 4" screen and LTE will sale a ton of phones. They will wait for NFC till it is well established and doesn't require compromises in design. The same as they did with 3G and LTE.

Steady iteration is the Apple way.

One day it's "steady iteration", another day it's "innovation".

Apple can never go wrong...

I think Apple can be the only ones to properly confirm this but if true this will upset a lot of people waiting for the new iPhone.

Personally I have the Samsung Galaxy S3 with NFC and have never even bothered to use it.

Hahaha, isn't this how it often is? So many people chomping at the bit to get a feature, they get pissed off if they don't get it....and when they do, they don't really use it?

The is a huge disappointment for two people.

1) Apple consumers
2) NFC

NFC will be much slower to get off the ground without the iPhone.

Exactly, I was looking forward to the iphone bringing NFC to the mainstream. Its out now but how many people actually use it? with the iPhone it would have been brought to the mainstream.

The same logic would apply to next years iPhone, since iPhones usually have the same design for 2 years. Do you think next years iPhone will not have NFC if next months does not? I am not sure if I agree with this.

So the big selling points for this iPhone?

More RAM
LTE
4" Screen

My gut tells me a lot of iPhone 4 owners (not 4S) will wait till next years iPhone to upgrade. Not because next months iPhone is a failure (it is still going to be a very good phone), but because the iPhone 4 is a well built phone and I think people would rather wait till the A6 is in the iPhone.

Are you kidding? RAM has never been and will never be a "selling" point for iOS devices.

It's pretty widely used in NYC.

Bluetooth already has more users and is compatible with all iPhones, I'd love to see some implementation with it and passbook.

Innovation came in designing the original iPhone. Hence Apple getting pissed when all of Samsung's phones started to look like the iPhone after it was released. Yay for common sense.

This it's Stupid (or ingenuous as much), NFC is not a feature Apple will Gift, it's a mean for Apple to profit more, they have some patent and developements about.

No NFC on iOS 6? What's the problem, The New iPhone maybe launched with iOS 6.1" integrating that Feature as only improvement (among parches and Anti-jailbreak locks).

The back Is Known to have DUAL GLASS AREAS at top and BOTTOM, also at front, there is a lot of places where to Install an viable NFC antenna.
