Just got back from pre-ordering at my local AT&T store. Was torn between black and silver. Until the rep told me that black (not jet) was already backordered for at least 10-15 business days after launch. Silver? I'll get it on the 16th. No brainer. (I've always had white phones)

I got the Space Gray iPhone 6s after having a silver iPhone 5 and no way I'll be getting a black iPhone again. I think iOS feels much better with the white bezels and overall I do think white/silver iPhones are more beautiful. Also, i don't agree with the majority of people and I think the Space Gray iPhone 6s looked better than the new black color on the 7.

I've had white/silver iPhones since I got my 4S. Mostly because my wife had a black 4 at the time, and I wanted to be able to easily differentiate between them. She has a rose gold SE now, so this time around I'm contemplating going with the matt black, but I also kinda like the silver too, which matches my iPad. I will probably make my mind up based on availability next month when my subsidy and quarterly bonus are due. I suspect the black ones may still be in short supply.

My iPhone 6s is silver but I'm getting matte black this year. I think it looks sharp and I'm ready for a change. I like all the colors. I have a rose gold iPad pro 9.7 and a gold mini4. I put cases on all my devices so it really doesn't make much difference. I have no desire for the Jet Black - it reminds me of plastic.

the main reason black is selling more is because iphone users like showing off there new phone7 and to make sure everyone knows they have the new 7 they will always get the new color scheme. when they came out with the rose gold even guys were buying them.

I'm doing it to keep things fresh. I actually prefer white front iDevices but from time to time I'll go black.

The Jet Black is all the rage for the 7 so I fell into the hype. Plus it reminds me of my old iPhone 3G with its glossiness.

With the 7, I guess you can say Apple is BACK IN BLACK.

I have had a rose gold since the iPhone 6 days. And that won't be changing. I have always had a white phone face and couldn't see myself changing that either.

I'm trying the rose gold this time around.

My only concern is that it's too "feminine" as in too pink for a guy.

I hope I'll like the colour seeing it in person cause I don't think the pics do it justice.

Any other guys who got the rose gold?

What Apple should have done was give the white face model the white back treatment. We would have had a Storm trooper and Darth Vadar combo going on. Actually those should have been the only 2 colors until they figure out how to revamp the Gold and Rose Gold colors. The white face models look so boring now.
They gotta save something for the next iPhone you know.

Always preferred the darker phones. I like silver but it has the white face which I don't like. So I ordered the Jet Black, will probably wrap the back in anthracite to match my car. That's what I did with my 6s.

I had a black 3G, then a white 4S, then a black 5, then (now) a silver 6, and I pre-ordered the silver 7+.

I don't think I will go back to black. Yeah, the black looks sleek, but I just prefer the white front overall. The phone also looks bigger.

I don't have one but imo, it's drop dead gorgeous in person. Very pleasantly looking. I wouldn't worry about it being too feminine, and get it if you like it. :)

Dont like white bezels, but the day they will offer black bezel with silver back i will be all over it.

Was so tempted to go with the matte black, but thought a black phone with a white dongle dangling out of it looks kinda silly. Especially with black earphone cords.
So I went with the silver one.

It's a shame that the 7 stock will suffer from hype, because I really like the glossy black. I just wonder why they didn't create a Ceramic version for the white side.

I needed a change from a black face so I went with gold. The wife went with rose gold. One thing I like about the white faced phones are the ring around the home button is the color of the phone so it gives it a nicer look in my opinion. That's one thing I don't like about my space gray ip6. There should be a space gray ring around the home button lol.

Plus my pattern goes:
Black iPhone 4
White iPhone 5(nicest looking iPhone ever to date in my opinion)
Space gray iPhone 6
Now gold iPhone 7

I love the silver! I ordered a silver 7plus 256gb. Black phones are depressing to me. I can't stand to look at them after a week or so. Void of color (other than the display), so yeah, I like silver....don't care for gold.
Lol

I used to think white bezels looked awful. Black looked so nice. But now I think white looks amazing and black is boring. Weird how opinions can change so dramatically.

That jet black color is the first time I'd consider getting black again since 2013. I just wish there was a pearl white that was shiny just like the jet black model.

You basically had that with space gray. The back was only a tad darker than the silver model.

I would not have been able to resist buying an iPhone 7 if that was an option.

Ceramic, albeit a very hard material, is extremely brittle and very prone to cracking and chipping. The watch will be their beta test for this material but the think such a large area on an item that's prone to drops and bumps will cause many unhappy customers. Would look pretty though.
