No Touch Bar - Your thoughts?

I love the Touch Bar... and now that we know it's gone. Will it come back at all?

Do you use it? probably not often... but is it a nice feature to have?

Thoughts?
 
The only innovations they had were stealing from the past. I'm disappointed. I guess the new processor is nice. Battery life is awesome.

They could have learned from the Touch Bar to do something new. Touch screen? Something.

I liked it, but I don’t think that I will miss it that much. I was using more the Touch Bar than the Function keys, but many people complained about it so much that it may be better to go backward on this.

I don’t believe Touch Bar will ever make a comeback, but hey, I never thought that Apple would add again an SD card slot, HDMI port and MagSafe charging, so one can hope

The new processor is not "nice" it is game changing... at least I need it to be. :D :D :D

Yeah maybe... I loved autocorrect built in, I loved the customizable buttons... I fell in love with it. Don't use it often but when I need to it is awesome.
 
I wish they'd enhanced it. I didn't like the initial implementation though. It's sad that they went conservative approach this time around. They could've done both :(

I didn't mind the touchbar, but somehow I had never really started to use it effectively. Maybe I should have given it a more serious chance.

Overall I think I prefer the physical keys though, so I welcome this update.

I like the Touch Bar it seems silly for them to have axed if you ask me.

They could have tried function keys + the Touch Bar to appease those who prefer the keys, but to drop it altogether is a shame.

If anything maybe apple might bring it to the redesigned air possibly… as it is more of a general consumer gimmick plus they will want it there to warrant a price bump of the air.

I find myself touching the screen sometimes, going back and forth from my iPad. Will they ever offer touch screen?

I used the TouchBar and I’m really disappointed they got rid of it.

Guess I’ll keep my current 16” MBP for a while.

It forces you to use the backlight at all times. It's a terrible decision and productivity killer.
