few more black keys only for a very expensive laptop now

I like the Touch Bar it seems silly for them to have axed if you ask me.
They could have tried function keys + the Touch Bar to appease those who prefer the keys, but to drop it altogether is a shame.
I find myself touching the screen sometimes, going back and forth from my iPad. Will they ever offer touch screen?
I hate loosing dongles, or letting someone borrow it to find they "forget it" at home... THE SD CARD feature is the main reason. I hated not having the dedicated SD card reader when compared to my previous 2017 Mac Pro.This all seems so bizarre on Apples part to basically undo all the changes made in 2016 and take a step backwards. With Airplay and wireless tech with do people need a dedicated HDMI port so badly? The Touch Bar was a nice differentiator too.
I love the Touch Bar... and now that we know it's gone. Will it come back at all?
Do you use it? probably not often... but is it a nice feature to have?
Thoughts?
Touchscreen under trackpad could be the best possible application. What about Touch Bar on the bottom of the screen.... OR Touch Bar on the menu bar... right on top... or TOUCH DISPLAYS ...
Can you explain why you hate the notch? Seriously, it gives you more screen space by raising the menu up and you get the entire previous screen area. You can set dark mode and not see it. And it makes the macbook stand out.The touchbar was a gimmick to fool people that Apple was busy making innovations at a time when they clearly were not. Apple has now given us the notch -- another blemish people will have to gaze at daily. I mean I am all for function over form -- but this is preposterous.
Could have been a dedicated wireless keyboard with touch display.Touchscreen under trackpad could be the best possible application.
But still, it was doomed from the start.
It was impossibile to port it on desktops, and so impossible for it to be truly embraced by developers.
It blocks the view of the top of the screen. No screen should have a built in obstruction. It's preposterous. Can you explain why you hate the notch? Support for it will be dwindling but I imagine apps will just keep their current support and not add to it. What about touch keys like each key being a LCD… it would be asked for various configurationsI love the Touch Bar. Filling in forms it is heaven sent! I honestly dont understand why people are so hyped about functions keys that we have had forever, besides volume and screen intensity I barely used them.
Touch Bar was an evolution, you could set it to be function keys. But we cant make Fn keys into Touch Bar. So glad I have the MBP M1 that still has it, just hope it will be supported for a long time!
Let the flames begin... 😆

People use FaceTime - and Zoom. I’d rather a notch so I can have more display room for my apps than no notch and all that unused space on top.It blocks the view of the top of the screen. No screen should have a built in obstruction. It's preposterous.
