Isn't the Nokia Tablet just a variation of the MS Surface which was like not very interesting to begin with?

Well yeah, but that's like saying the Macbook Air is just a variation of the Dell Inspiron. They're both laptops... that's about where the similarities end.

Maybe I'm out of touch, but there was nothing about this ad that was even mildly humorous. I found myself more distracted by the ad being so amateur that I may have missed the actual point of it.

I guess that's how I felt. I wanted to laugh, but it wasn't even a good ad, serious or otherwise.

I was distracted by the blonde ;)

I've tried a keyboard with my iPad 3 back in the day. Wasn't particularly a fan of it.

As for battery life, I recently got 17 hours 40 minutes of usage and over 2 days of standby on my retina iPad Mini. That's fine with me!

well.. is it real??

thats fake. I do not believe a company would have this as an advertisement.
Did Nokia actually payed for this? Did she unlock the screen like a fruit ninja?? or did she think she is playing already?:D

When are Apple's rivals going to advertise their products on their own strengths and merits?

And as for the no keyboard argument, I can touch type on my iPad. Once you get used to it, and utilise a Smart Cover style case to tilt the iPad at an angle, it's absolutely fine. I can understand some people preferring a physical keyboard, but the lack of one doesn't cripple the iPad.

And the battery dig was just ridiculous.

...

i dont think they were going after the iPad specifically. i mean, when they mention battery life... i am pretty sure they are trying to go after all competitors

*Plink Plonk Plink Plonk*

God, do these ad guys all get their music from the same glockenspiel guy, or what?

They're all made on Garage Band for iPad.

future of music.

I hate this type of commercial music.

During the entire commercial I kept thinking damn that air looks sleek and sexy lol

Ditto. :p The commercial really didn't offer a good look at the Nokia. Lame commercial and not sure this is really going to help their sales. Hey maybe they could hire Budweiser's Spuds McKenzie for their next spot?

original <sigh>

Seriously, did they hire the same PR firm as MS?!

I can type superfast on the iPad (or, fast enough for me!) and that's when I don't use Siri (or if i'm not on wifi where I can't use her).

Dummies....

Apple squeezed a bigger battery into a thinner, lighter, smaller, more premium case. It's got a better screen, more advanced chip, and great apps. Where was all that in the ad? All I saw was glossy red plastic and an ugly Windows desktop that looked old-fashioned and out of place on a tablet.

HA! I love how Microsoft, et. al think that they have Apple by the balls with this keyboard thing. Like Apple forgot to include one and just haven't realized yet. The keyboard is their "killer app"

This is why they continue to be failures and make bad products... they just don't get it. There is a keyboard, guys. Apple doesn't need to include a legacy gimmick add-on to convince people to buy their product. They really have no clue why the iPad is a hit... they still want to make the same tablets from the '00's that nobody wanted to buy or use.

And if i really need a keyboard I can pack an Apple bluetooth one which is tiny and fits in my bag and provides a real keyboard experience as opposed to that thing they include which is still not the same feel as a real keyboard. I am happy with the screen keyboard... and if I need more I already have options that aren't a gimmick.

haha not! Microsoft looks worse and worse every time they try to poke fun at apple or anyone for that matter. You guys are irrelevant at this point in time. You may have your day but not right now. Make something good first. That should be their focus.
