If nokia is behind this than no one will get sued nor should be. If Foxcon is behind this, then it could get bad. I would personally not sue them if I were Apple, I would just stop using them as much. Until we get more facts it's hard to say what will happen.

They won't Sue Foxcon I doubt, not many out there that can really match their manufacturing capacity, but they may have words with them.

Still I am a lil annoyed that Nokia or Foxcon couldn't come up with something else, design is all about giving character really I think, and Nokia can certainly do that and I'm more then sure so can Foxcon.

like a triangular tablet? this looks like an iPhone 6 ++++ without touch id. Unless nokia started to design this after sept 19th, I don't think they copied anyone.

Don't TVs pretty much all look the same too? The thing that sets Apple apart is the OS.

This is really the case. There are only so many designs for a current tablet, the software is the defining piece and iOS still wins out for many. A lawsuit for this is just stupid, Apple needs to focus on what matters to the business, not some random Nokia built tablet that looks like the Mini.

Especially since Apple doesn't care one bit about the Mini as understood by this years "update".

Even the slogan "thinking ahead" was inspired by the "forward thinking" of iPhone 5s:eek:

Yes because no one besides Apple has ever used the term forward thinking. Nobody, ever. So therefore, it is Apple's. As well as anything that could resemble the same idea.

One thing to consider is how much (if any) this takes a bite out of Apple's market in China. China is supposedly one of those up-and-coming markets that Apple, as most electronic manufacturers, are looking to score big in.

If this is a lower-cost alternative to an iPad mini, how many dollars will it take away from them?

Guys, wake up. Apple is not going to sue anyone over this. "Nokia" isn't selling this in the US or any other country that apple has a legal leg to stand on. They are selling it in China and eventually Russia where Apple can't so **** about it.

Apple copied copying

Did they also copy the bending® trademark of Apple?
I say it's great to see that another company can make design as well as Apple with a better price. This will make Apple to have to revisit their prices...
As for copying, in the past years we've seen Apple copying others and others copying Apple.
Remember the most obvious thing that Apple copied: the X86 hardware and software.

Funny -

I just launched a new product myself! It's called the iPC. Inspired by the Apple iMac 5K.

The iPC features a 4k display with 64GB of SSD storage. It includes a Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse. It's all so "Magical!"

Nokia learned their lesson

Their phone business died because they stubbornly stuck to their old phones after the iPhone came out. Then they watched Samsung soar when they copied Apple. They've learned their lesson. At this point, it's about survival, they don't care if they're called the copycat. SO what if Apple sues them and they end up paying all the profits? It's profits they never had to begin with, so nothing lost.
