More importantly who are those who lose it so often they need a damn tracker on it.
You don’t have to lose it often, sometimes losing it just once can be quite a hassle. Getting a drivers license replacement, cancelling credit cards, etc. $29 to track a wallet for even a single lost/found use can be worth it for many.

people are using these things to stalk women by slipping them in a purse or hidden in a car then following them home. Not cool Sometimes Technology is not a blessing.

oh really, where is this documented?? Also the Airtags have features built in to stop unwanted tracking, so , show me where they were used to "stalk women"

We don't need a tracker on our wallets in the South. We have chains.

What a stupid idea for a product, imho. It’s bad enough using a conventional wallet that waterfall stacks credit cards, license and other cards, bending them while also adding to the thickness with the dividers, but to then add in a device that it thicker than half a dozen cards in the middle is not going to be godo for anything else in the wallet, or your butt cheek that sits on it. After 40 years of carrying a typical bi-fold or tri-fold wallet, I switched to one of the flat card carriers that takes up a fraction of the space and can easily fit in front or shirt pockets.

Kind of surprised by Nomad offering this - doesn’t seem like something they’d do. I love my Nomad AirPod Pro leather case, but then again I’m a sucker for all things Horween leather.

Nomads product team were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, that they didn't stop to think if they should offer this product.

There was a guy on YouTube, that split an AirTag in two and put that in a credit card like enclosure -
effectively making it half as thick.
I would buy that (requires soldering unfortunately)
The Find My network is open so eventually someone will make a card shaped tracker.

For starters they could use a CR2412 battery which is one third the thickness of thr AirTag battery and has a larger diameter (and also half the capacity, but you could use two of them).

Then simply have the electronics and speaker alongside to the battery instead of stacked.

Y'all know, modern solutions require modern problems.

Just wait. In maybe another hundred years, we wouldn't buy a wallet unless it had a tracker. Except in the South. We'll stick with our chained wallets.🤠

I use a wallet. In the U.S., many states require one to carry a drivers license or state ID. along with insurance card. On top of that, you have medical insurance, credit cards, money etc.
You do carry a phone with you all the time, do you, there you are, a phone casing including pockets for cards.

yeah. i was disappointed not to be able to fit an airtag in my wallet. it's about 7 credit cards thick! we need a much much thinner variant

I don't care what most people do. Individualism is a wonderful thing. I don't have to base my decisions on what most other people do.
I don’t care what individuals do. I only follow the common practices.

individualism is for the weak and broken.
