people are using these things to stalk women by slipping them in a purse or hidden in a car then following them home. Not cool Sometimes Technology is not a blessing.
"AirTag is also designed with a set of proactive features that discourage unwanted tracking, an industry first. Bluetooth signal identifiers transmitted by AirTag rotate frequently to prevent unwanted location tracking. iOS devices can also detect an AirTag that isn’t with its owner, and notify the user if an unknown AirTag is seen to be traveling with them from place to place over time. And even if users don’t have an iOS device, an AirTag separated from its owner for an extended period of time will play a sound when moved to draw attention to it. If a user detects an unknown AirTag, they can tap it with their iPhone or NFC-capable device and instructions will guide them to disable the unknown AirTag."

Who has a wallet nowadays...🤔
Working adults that drive cars, buy groceries, have various ID's required for various worldly responsibilities? ;)
Now...who has $Cash$ nowadays? Right there with you.

Also...go go Flipside! RFID shielding, if a bit thick to carry around in a pocket.

So now your wallet will be at least half an inch thick, before you add all the other stuff. Great.

2nd gen Airtags are likely going to have the battery and electronics side-by-side so it's in a thinner package..
Well if it’s not a replaceable battery it’s a no purchase. I have enough disposal tech from Apple with the AirPods.

But you end up with a card as think as an AirTag. That's an ergonomics nightmare in itself for where it needs to be.

Bad people will always find a way to do bad things. We just can ban everything that has potential for misuse or bad use. If we did, I'd suggest that the automobile be eliminated.

LMAO what? Are you serious with that question?
I haven't carried a wallet in nearly a decade. one debit card, two credit cards, and a license in front left pocket. They stack nicely, I know what order everything is in.. Once I started paying attention to what cards I use, I realized how idiotic it was to throw them all in one thing I could lose and lose everything, I stopped with the wallet. Now if I lose one card, I've got the two backups and the license still nicely stacked in my front left pocket.

It works really well for me.

It shows that I don't live in the States.
I, and all of my fellow countrymen/women can go cashless for what....almost a decade.
Even when I don’t carry cash, I still carry a wallet. There are other things I need to have with me.

Hopefully we see governments and companies embrace Apple Wallet for digital ID's and we can all one day stop carrying these.

In the meantime - where the hell are the "Tile like" thin cards that are compatible with the FindMy network. C'mon already, Belkin - I'll bet you had the specs a year ago!!! :)

I still do … but after the last few days I’ve pondered why I need one.

> ApplePay (Watch & iPhone) for a long while now.
I still need to carry:
3 Security Cards = different offices when I’m on rotation 3days/wk - but I also need to carry my laptop so it stays in the bag not my dress pants/jeans.
^ still no specific day in sight when full day in office and the business is already considered and offered: 100% WFH, 50/50 Office/WFH, 60/40 WFH/Office (which in I.T. For the 3 offices is split between myself and 2 other ppl )

Sorry carrying:
Keys,
Bank Card,
Presto Card (for another 1.5yrs tops then driving).
Cash - but it’s very briefly (THC/CBD delivery for the potent stuff).

Wearing my sweet tracksuit Had me annoyed with my wallet.
- I dont’ need my hospital card, I don’t need my ID everywhere I go, I don’t need bank card if I have credit card (setup auto payments To play that credit game), don’t need to carry separator cards like health insurance (I can provide that data when at hospital or in need plus they have it on record already).

All we need in Canada, ON, BC, QC - is secured Drivers License in iOS and Android Wallet.

Ok … time for me to look through the threads on MagSafe Wallet for the best version to hold 3-4cards tops.

This product would’ve made sense prior to iPhone 12 series … now it seems like it’ll server a market that in 4-5yrs will make not much sense (to me that is).

It's worth noting that the AirTag is quite thick on its own and not really designed for use within wallets, so this Card for AirTag is still going to take up a lot of space. Thin wallets may not accommodate the thickness of the AirTag and the accompanying Card accessory.

Perfect for one of these bad boys though

Yes, please. I am in such a hurry to hand a device with my electronic car keys, electronic house keys, electronic work ID, electronic credit cards and electronic Driver License to a cop during a traffic stop.

Talk about a single point of failure. Everything you rely on in one place and trivially confiscated on a pretext.

For the price of the wallet, Nomad should give this card free (which will, kinda, boost the sale of their wallets as well)

Maybe it will finally get everyone to start backing up their phones?

And, you shouldn't have to hand the cop anything. Have you used contactless payment? Tap on his iPad, your NFC ID will bring up your DMV and any other relevant records.

You wouldn't hand it to the cop - you would show it to them, and presumably they'd scan it.

It's also entirely possible to hand it over in locked wallet mode. They can look at your ID, see the last four of some of your credit cards, but that's it.

and women don't talk men why is this a gender thing, plus the airtag has anti-stalk features built in

yeah that's what I was thinking too, they should have included the airtag card holder with the purchase of the wallet. The other weird thing too is that it shows it ships until almost October.

I don't care what most people do. Individualism is a wonderful thing. I don't have to base my decisions on what most other people do.
Who gave you permission to say that? I don't think your statement is on the approved thought list. Have you considered reporting for reconditioning? (Seriously, if something bad happens, the entire company can be shut down until I answer the phone and fix the problem. That is largely why I have a better theater at home than the local cinema does.)
