I live in Japan and yes there are 3 typhoons around Japan and China at this time. But we are so used to them that it never messes with our postal system. Most of the time they hit Okinawa pretty hard and by the time they hit main land they aren't so powerful. It may rain for days and be a bit windy, and if the typhoon hits a city directly it will only last about a day.
Chinese companies saying that your package may have been lost due to a typhoon are BS'ing you. I own a net business and ship products all the time and have never once had a customers product lost due to any kind of weather. Typhoons have never been a problem "even bad ones" with my shipping.
I think 99% of these Chinese sellers are just out to get easy money and will BS you with every story they can think of if you do not receive the crap product they are selling.

hey guys, i couldn't resist and bought the link replica from a seller on Aliexpress (seems legit considering their history and feedback).

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/High...-Band-Luxury-For-iWatch-Band/32389462529.html

3,It's use high quality 316L solid stainless steel and Hand-made and there have more than 100 components, then it take long time to make a perfect original band. So,it's just presales, and we will send it as soon as possible.

Just a presale nothing completed yet.

I haven't checked the rest of the posts, but I received two leather loops from Aliexpress today for my 38mm SS. Since the real one is not offered in my size, I figured I'd give it a go. Got one in red and blue and I think they look okay. I've never seen one in person so have nothing to compare it too. Magnets are strong.

ETA: I have a teeny wrist so keep that in mind :).

I think it looks good. Are you pleased?

Damn me and my teeny wrists!
Yes, not only does it look good it feels good on the wrist too. I type a lot on the keyboard and I can comfortably rest my wrist on the keyboard. And the quality of it is pretty good as well for a FAKE IMO. Photos does not justify and you need to see and feel the real thing.

How's the magnet on it?
I've heard some reviewers say that the magnet isn't as strong as the Apple Leather bands

Surprisingly, the magnet is pretty strong for a fake and because the band is 'ridged' once the magnets click in place the ridges hold the band together and does not come unfastened.

You can judge appearances easily enough, but I'm less sure about "quality".

Safety-wise, you have no idea what you're strapping to your wrist with knock off sport or leather bands (toxins from tanning chemicals, dyes, glues, plastics, coatings, etc). Nor about the workers' conditions or the environmental impact.

As opposed to genuine straps where Apple and its suppliers are subject to rigorous scrutiny and "The materials used in ... Apple Watch bands meet the standards set for jewelry by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, applicable European regulations, and other international standards.".

Wow that's a lot for just a strap, now I know why these knock offs are 1/3 the price of the originals. Thanks for the heads up.

One last question..
Did you order from ebay or aliexpress?
Which seller?

can you repost them I cant see them...

It seems MacRumors Forum is having some issues at the moment. The photos were showing okay about 1 hour ago now I can't see them either and I also can't see user's avatars. Please give it a while. They should reappear. If not I will repost.

I have a 38mm SS watch too, and a small wrist like you. Do you know what the circumference is for your wrist in inches or mm? I don't want the end of the band coming right up to the watch face. Thanks for any info...
